As we know, there's been plenty of Movie designs. But which is the most unique?

    Mine:

RoTF Mixmaster: I love the long arms with the shields.
RoTF Scaple: I like the crab design.
DoTM Crankcase: I liked all three Dreads, but Crankcase stood out because of his Predatory-ness.
DoTM Clovercon: Just look at that design then tell me it's not good.
DoTM Leadfoot: who can go wrong with a fatty?

For some reason, I liked ROTF Sideswipe's design because of his wheels that act like skates. You just don't see swordsmen who can skate and slice things at the same time.

    Definitely Demolishor.

I actually quite liked all the wheel bots in RotF, like the bike sisters, Sideswipe, Wheelie...

Obviously it a way, all the movie designs are unique as we'd just never seen Transformers with the kind of aesthetic the movie introduced before.

But within the context of the movieverse design cues, I would have to say Demolishor is the most unique. And maybe Scalpel too.

It's so the audience can identify with them and root for them as the heroes of the piece. Likewise why the Decepticons are more inhuman and alien like, so that we are afraid of them and want them destroyed.

[Ace Ventura] It's all psychological! [/Ace Ventura]

If I could only like one thing about the movies it would be the designs. All of them in some respect are unique, basically due to the alien aesthetic. It kinda makes me sad when I hear people trash the film designs for being too fiddly and complicated...to an extent I agree with them as the complexity makes it hard to distinguish individual robots. However, the designs won me over and enticed me to explore the franchise that I initially hated.

    Anyway, unique designs and whatnot:
-The Constructicons: each Constructicon body-type was unique because each design looked like it performed some sort of function. For example, I initially thought Rampage's jackhammer mode was genius; he's a construction type robot, and he turns into some jackhammer. I thought the Decepticons would've used him in a way akin to Targetmasters to perhaps dig or mine for something. It was a shame that the design was just meant to show off ridiculous acrobatics(which was still pretty cool.)

-The bike-sisters: I like the idea of them being separate individuals instead of a hive mind. I loved the bike sisters for their wheel-feet designs. It was a shame they were removed from DOTM; I'd think if it weren't for Bay they would've shined against the Dreads in the highway chase.

-The Decepticon fighters and ships: Yes, I love the ships and I felt they really gave the Decepticons a more alien feel. What I really enjoyed about the ships was how the fighters constantly transformed and modified themselves; it made them look alive and made me feel like they could've been Cybertronians themselves instead of simply being vehicles.

I could type more, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want that.:lol

The Dreads are epic as fuck. We've never seen anything like them before in TFs. Also Rampage is just so crazy. Snake tail, tread whips, claws and a little round head. Reedman, however, takes top prize for essentially being papercraft.

I guess. I just feel I'm a bit too eager about Bay-verse Transformers design-wise and all the possibilities it could take me.

    Let's see...what else do I feel is unique design-wise?

-The Twins: As annoying as they are, they have a few things to contribute when it comes to their movie design. I read somewhere that their designation as brothers and twins is due to the splitting of a single spark. It's interesting and clever how I feel their design totally relates to that concept based on their proportions; the way they look sorta implies that they were the product of some gruesome vivisection of a hatchling.

-Jetfire: I've been thinking about this one recently and I wonder about his old coot concept. It's an interesting conundrum; can Transformers age the way a human can? It can be assumed that he looked different in his younger years, but how, as a robot, as a machine, did he change? Could it be assumed that the lack of energon in an adult Cybertronian's systems causes its physical structure to change and adapt to conserve energon or something? It's intriguing.

I thinks it's just as time passes he ages like a machine wooul. Parts start falling off, joints start to sieze, etc. If you look at his design and reinterperate the "beard" as "fangs" and change the posture he suddenly becomes more menacing and more your typical movie 'Con.
