which do you see as the most generally over/underrated?

ratchet perhaps seems a little jaded with his rather basic looking vehicle mode and 'old man' bot mode but hes got such a great transformation sequence that hes one of my favourites, i think he also looks great in bot mode. ok so hes not as obviously impressive as say earth megatron but hes actually more fun. a running second would be delux (single pack) prime, he seems rather standard looking but his slighty tricky TF is actually a lot of fun and he poses better than most of the animated toys.

overrated, hmm, thats probably earth megatron, he is impressive in both modes but his TF sequence is rather uninteresting and the lack of clipping parts in his upper body in bot mode makes him feel a bit unfinished. also the leg joints make for some awkward posing, voyager prime for eg is awesome in that respect.

Dunno the under but people only like Grimlock for the HE'S GRIMLOCK factor, no love for that un-fun toy.

Overrated I'd say Supreme Prime. Yes it is very niceto look at, but paying $60 for a toy that automatically transforms when it rolls is not my idea of a good value. He looks great in both modes, but I want to transform it myself.

Underrated.. I guess ratchet. Ratchet is a fantastic little figure. Looks good in both modes. Can pose fairly well. Just an all around good figure.

I like to transform him, it's a fun and simple transformation.

If you want overrated try Letdown. I'm one of the few people who don't own one. The wrists and fall apart factor turn me off.

I agree with shroobmaster, Grimlock is awesome but also overrated. I'd say that Battle Begins earth-mode Prime is underated. He's a great mold (especially if you swap his head with cybertron-mode Prime) has a great axe and is in proper scale with most of the other transformers out there.

Overrated: Voyager Grimlock--I just don't get the big deal about him and I don't like the open chest.

I would say overrated is Starscream, the awful hands and lousy transformation really kill it for me.

Underrated would be Jazz, man, I love that figure.

I'd have to say that Voyager Bulkhead & Lugnut are easily the most overrated figures of the line so far. They might come in big boxes, but I personally can't understand how anyone thinks these tiny little figures of the show's largest characters are acceptable in a line that is otherwise pretty scale accurate.

And while I don't think they necessarily suck, I do think that Leader Megatron & Voyager Grimlock have been fairly overrated as well considering how simple and extremely underwhelming their transformations are.

Deluxe Ratchet gets my vote for most underrated. I don't know why, but I love this figure and think it has a pretty clever transform... beer gut & all.

i agree, grimlock is arguably a very fun toy, he looks comical esp in beast mode and the TF is great. the bot has fairly good posablity, he combines a rather funky look with a bad ass look, among my favourite 5 animated toys.

incepticon, agreed on megs but i feel grimlocks TF is really quite fun and involved enough, he does feel a bit flimsy though during the TF but he locks together quite well. I do wish lugnut was bigger but as he stands hes in my top 5 animated toys, hes just so unique, reminds me of g1 apeface for some reason.

Underrated: Snarl. A very solid toy that gets a lot of hate for poor articulation.

    Overrated: Soundwave. He sucks.

Agreed on all but Lockdown. I've got a soft spot for him since he was the first Animated figure I bought (and 2 months before he was supposed to hit retail). He's also the first TF I ever modded myself.

Overrated is Lockdown. Just a waste of my $10

Underrated is probably Lugnut, I've come to accept his out of scale-ness
