My vote goes to Cybertron Defense Red Alert. I was ready to repaint/kitbash this guy into a Classics Omega Supreme but decided to do a G1 UM in Viagra Prime's style.

This mold is really really good. With the exception of his arm length, he really is flawless posebility wise. His firepower is great, his paint scheme isnt over-the-top crazy, and he isn't watered down with gimmicks and out of this world dopeyness. I'd love to see him repainted into Classics 2.0 as Warpath or some other big tank bot.

I love that mold. He looks like a battlemech, with a misile that's longer than he is tall.

For underapreciated, I'd have to go with Cybertron Thundercracker. Every one dumps on the mold, but it's only real problem is the tiny feet. I remember when huge frikken gun arms were cool.

I'm going to have to echo the Cybertron Thundercracker mold. I love that little guy (both on the show and the toy!)... like was stated, his only real problem is the tiny feet, but he's got great balance so it doesn't matter. Got him, Skywarp and Divebomb all hanging out together on my A/E/C shelf. :D

    I respectfully disagree. :)

While bigass gun arms are, in fact, badass, I really feel like Thundercracker's just wasn't done right. However, that's my only gripe - the rest of the mold is really rather well done (though the shoulder parts could have used a little more polish in the design)... Unfortunately, I can't really offer any "constructive criticism", so to speak, as to better ways to have handled that arm, so I try not to complain TOO much, and just hold my opinion of not liking it. But to each his own! :)

I do agree about Cybertron Defense Red Alert. Kinda sorta feels like he's simple for his size class, but he's a big dude, even without the missile.

I'm looking over at my collection now and I'm not really seeing anything I'd consider under-appreciated. Just about all of them worth praising (IMO) have gotten it, I don't really see any good ones that have been ignored... and some ones I'm not too fond of also get praise from people who do like em.

So that said, I don't really have any BAD Transformers... that's a comforting tangent of a thought I went off on. :lol

I'm gonna go with Cybertron Clocker. I love that little guy, and I don't hear much praise for him, but I do hear more from people who don't like him. He's a slick little car, his bot mode's pretty cool, and his transformation, while not entirely... I dunno... original, I guess, it's fun.

Cybertron Hot Shot is a close second. Don't hear too much about that guy anymore, aside from Botcon Goldbug.

I actually like the color scheme. The red looks kind of odd with the other colors, but I'm a sucker for arctic camo and the whole thing together is very unique

    Music Label Soundwave

It is one of my favorate TF's of all time, but because of the high price, many fans have shunned him :(

    Protoform Prime

He is very innnovative in his bot mode and is extremely posable, one of my all time favorite molds.

Energon combiner helicopter mold- it offered a well-articulated transforming helicopter to bolster the Decepticon ranks at the price of $6.

Energon Grimlock (not so much Swoop and the Mega-Dinobot though)
People like to throw out the P-word on him a lot (Playskool), though I find the mold has a lot of personality in both modes. The robot mode especially looks stocky and brutish, with a solid build and a G1-ish transformation. To me, it looks like a plastic manifestation of the Grimlock personality.

I'm going to go with a group actually...the G2 basic cars and Jets. We never got a repaint of any of them (since Block Town never came out) but I loved those little guys...

Either I'm thinking of a completely different group or you couldn't be more wrong. The G2 cars and Jets got reused a ton of times, in Car Robots and RiD, in Universe, and in RobotMasters.

Personally, I think the mold that's the greatest that doesn't seem to get the love is the Energon Landmine/Landquake mold. He makes the freakin' TF noise! He's just full of awesome IMHO. Personally, I always wanted to see a new head and paintjob as Rodimus Prime for the mold. Personally, the Landquake version is one of my favorite Autobot molds from the entire TF run.

TFMaster made a Rodimus Prime out of E. Landmine about 5 years ago, an Awesome piece.

Cyb. Defense Scattershot In Universe, He could be an awesome figure I Just don't know who atm :lol

CD Red Alert would make an Awesome Perceptor...

    E. Inferno/Roadblock (remolded head and removed Combo gimick) Classics Inferno and Grapple would be cool out of those two.

    C. Clocker with a remolded Arcee head= Classics Arcee

    E. Swoop retooled (remove combo gimick)= Classics Swoop

Seconded, maybe not the most under appreciated mold ever but in the movie line no question. People hated this toy but I love this guy, bought Overcast too which also rocks!

I'm not sure which jets he's referring to, but for the cars, I dont think he's talking about the Spychangers or the Flipchangers. I think he means these guys

    I think that Mudlfap/Demolisher from Cybertron/GF was horribly under-appreciated! :(

I'll agree he was one of the better molds that sold poorly.

(probably attributable to an unexciting vehicle mode and color scheme coupled with an unexciting show character with a poor imitation of a french accent. :)  )
