    Successful: MP Grimlock.

Unsuccessful: RoTF Devastator...I actually like it but compared to what it COULD have been it's pretty lame (I know, I sound like a broken record today)

    Favorite: Easily MP Grimlock.

Success: Quite a few I'd consider - RotF Leader Prime, HA Bumblebee, MP-08

Failure: RotF Megatron - leader and voyager, as well as The Fallen. I think they're the only ones from the RotF line that I've come close to regretting... I really should learn to not get caught up in hype :/

Most prized of the year: MP-04. I have a feeling he's going to be my "most prized" until Hasbro comes out with a real Optimus Prime :)

Successful- Leader ROTF Prime. This guy just seems to get nothing but praise.

Unsuccessful- Supreme Devastator, what a waste of plastic.

Favorite toy for me this year would be Henkei Ghost Starscream.

Grimlock I wouldn't say is the biggest sucess of the year. Sure, he's a fantastic toy, but it doesn't do anything we didn't expect, he's basically an update of the G1 toy. There's nothing really groundbreaking or surprising.
For me, I'd say the Animated line. Such great sculpts and engineering, even using clever faux-parts to make them look as screen accurate as possible.

unsuccessful: I'll go with everyone else: Supreme Devs. I'm over the fact they don't have robot modes, and I wasn't expecting Masterpeice complexity. But come on Hasbro, you couldn't have made it a little more complex to transform? even just a few more steps to make the lack of robot modes worthwhile and I would have been sold on it. That, and a smaller pricepoint.

I loved a lot of toys this year, but the two biggest successes for me would be MP Grimlock and ROTF Leader Prime. Two of my favorite molds ever now. Unsuccess to me would have to go to WHEEL FEET! When ANYTHING is made for Transformers, be it the movies or comics or cartoons, the most important thing to me is the toys that come of it. For some reason the robot designers had this wild hair up their asses to play around with the feet design for characters. Sideswipe... heads cool, body well designed, cool bladed weapons, and the... WTF is with those feet? Seriously, the problem with messing around with a robots feet is that it doesn't often translate well to a toy. You either end up with a toy that can't stand on its own feet, or you lose accuracy by changing the feet to be stood upon. Like I said, I care about the toys first and foremost, and that doesn't translate well. It hurt the design of Sideswipe, all the bike fembots, Rampage, Demolisher and Wheelie. That's a lot for one line.
