I want to here some personal stories. For you, what was the most shocking moment of transformers for you in your life.
ex.

Mine was... Animamted was my first full series. My friend Scott to told me I would like the character Shockwave (now im totaly crazy about him). I studied up on him and watched some episodes of G1.

I was watching Animated on TV and it was the episode you find out who the Secret agent on cybertron was.
When I found out it was Shockwave (the way they did it was awesome) I got goosebumps. (as you can see... I'm a dork).

This is a no-brainer for me.

The scene in the 1986 movie where the Decepticons board the Autobot ship and kill everyone. Megatron shoots Ironhide in the FACE, point-blank!

That blew me away as a kid.

 

My most shocking moment would have to be Armada Starscream's death. I was watching the episode and had no idea he would die, but part of me said this would be the end of someone. When he died, I spent most of the next three weeks trying to figure out how I knew he would die.

 

My shocking moment is ROTF Megatron killed Optimus Prime.

 

lol That made me laugh just because everyone in the theater got sad. I had to hold in a laugh.

The Scott who got me into transformers hates Optimus Prime.
When he saw the movie at midnight and watched prime die, He stood up and shouted "Yes he's dead!!!" lol i died when people started giving him looks

 

Not exactly shocking, but I wasn't expecting Animated Shockwave to turn purple at the end of "This is Why I Hate Machines". Made me happy to have bought the Target exclusive two-pack not too long before  .

My top 10 picks, in no particular order (except #1):

1. The wholesale slaughter of G1 in the first 20 minutes or so of TFTM, and Prime's death. Another TFTM shocker for me personally was that the Junkions revived Ultra Magnus with their magic goo, but no one thought to ask if they could do the same for Prime.

2. The beginning of Beast Machines: nobody... I mean, NOBODY saw that coming. Seriously, we all thought the Maximals won the Beast Wars! It wasn't just a shocker, it was a total WTF moment.

3. The ending for the Marvel G1 comic-miniseries (ish #4) that I never saw coming and was not at all prepared for.

4. And as if the ending for #4 wasn't shocking enough, the awesome cover for #5 was an even greater shock, which was trumped yet again inside the issue with this mind-boggling moment.

5. Ratchet outsmarts and defeats Megatron

...twice.

6. Shortly after the above, this happened -- the greatest "EWW!" shocker moment in the comics for me.

7. The G1 Marvel introduction of (in)Action Masters, and Powermaster Hi-Q's startling revelation (

) at the end of the same issue.

8. Megatron's only weakness revealed in the G1 ep "Make Tracks": a human can easily open his chest and spray acid inside. (Nevermind the problem inherent with acid in a spray can.)

9. Disco-dancing Decepticons in "Megatron's Master Plan."

Optimus Prime blows himself up. Over a video game.

 

Yeah... almost killed the Marvel run for me. I actually read the comic at my local library before I discovered it on our TFWiki. My brain was just "...waah." Prime has a matyr complex but seesh.

 

When I watched the Bay films and saw Decepticons being owned by human weapons.

So as children we not only get to see a gutwrenching Prime death scene in the movie, but then they bring him back as an evil zombie?!?!?!??!?!?! WOW


Oh, and the way they killed Prowl.

 

Lol, you'd win the thread if only that happened in a TRANSFORMERS movie and not a Michael "America Saves the Day" Bay disaster film of mass-shifting alien robots.

 

Wheeljack and Windcharger being treated like a bitches in the movie.

 

Me too. I had no idea it was coming.

 

Same here pretty much... except Prowl's death sticks with me more (my first TF ever). The smoke and flame billowing from his newly dead face totally took me by surprise! Then, as you stated, Ironhide's untimely death... then Starscreams!
