BW Injector and Transquito are the kings of the pegs and shelves respectively. They could be found for years after BW ended, I remembered seeing a stack of Transquitos at TRU here when I was looking for new Armada toys.

Beast Wars Transquito was still on the shelf at toys r us while Armada was going. He is the king. Absolutely.

Alternator Smokescreen and Sideswipe cluttered shelves everywhere, even after toys r us essentially taped the two together for a discounted "value pack". saw a couple during Cybertron, even.

wow, of all those that you're saying, I only saw the ROTF ones... many many Chromias and Wheelies, lately some Ravage, Mudflap... and those Ramjet and Thundercracker repaints of Starscream...
what else... I think those are the only ones I saw for many time... and some Ejectors, but they already dissapeared...
I never saw any BW shelfwarmer (well... I didn't even had Injector... and I still don't have Transquito... =( )

Planning which new Transformer will be a shelfwarmer must be one of those costly technical departments that Hasbro needs to pay for. Their distribution process is for undifferentiated product. Send this store ten boxes of the same wave, and make sure each box is at least half filled with Tuner Mudlfaps.

Mudflaps, mudflaps, everywhere! Seriously every local store I go into he's either the only thing or a good half of what is on the shelf. There's one WM around here that has about 10 Mudflaps and not a single other Deluxe figure.

Well just thinking recently, I've seen a LOT of places have left over Tuner Mudflaps. Also some places have a TON of Leader ROTF Primes. I don't recall much from the past though.

I've seen a lot of bad shelfwarmers in my time collecting TFs: Transquito, Armada Smokescreen, Energon Ironhide, Energon Signal Flare, Cybertron Mudflap, Cybertron Defense Red Alert, TFTM Protoforms (my TRU once had over 70 of the little bastards), TFTM Camshaft, RotF Stalker Scorponok (who's actually way worse than Tuner Mudflap here)...

But the worst one of all time? I have to go with the Alternators Subaru Imprezza mold. That thing pretty much signed the line's death warrant before it even started. First Smokescreen was sold in a solid case and then in half of the second case. This left dozens of unwanted Smokescreens sitting around on shelves for months on end. And what came out when they finally cleared enough to fit new product on the shelf? Smokescreen's repaint, Bluestreak. I think these two toys are largely responsible for starting the trend of impossible-to-find new releases that came to cripple the Alternators line.

Yep, Inferno and Mudflap sat around my TRU until just recently. I can't believe they're going for premium prices on eBay. But I just checked eBay and found an auction for all four of the 2007 TRU exclusives (Inferno, Mudflap, Jetstorm & Wingblade) MISB and currently going for only $25 with free shipping. I'm'a watchin' that one!

    mmm wheelies....

how about the real gear stuff? i can recall that stuff sitting around unloved. weirdly, it never seemed to get a clearance sale, just sitting on the shelf at full rrp with no one giving two tugs of a dead dogs cock.

other things...hmm...its difficult in the UK, as we tend get poor assortments anyway.

Alternators - they shelf warmed. Even when put on clear through by Tesco, they still had tons of Dead End, Swindle, Silverstreak and Shockwave.

    Armada - Laserbeak, without question.

Energon - Treadbolt. An awful toy to start with, so Hasbro thought they'd pump it out AGAIN?

I can't really think of any others that have seriously pegged warmed, apart from those nerf style blaster guns that are cluttering up ex-catalogue stores up and down the UK.

That picture of al the Wheelies is just so familar.

Also, reading through all these posts from US based members is hilarious - we never even got Tuner Mudflap released over here! I had to buy him online. :lol
