Which universe's Megatron do you think is the most ruthless? and I don't mean craziest, I mean who is the meanest, most uncompassionate, "evilest"(if that is a word)?

I'm saying Dreamwave Armada Megatron, simply based on how he completely trashed G1 Galvatron.

Movie Megs seems the most savage and ruthless, because he's not constrained by "kids show" limitations. Also, for the (relatively) brief amount of time he was on screen he clobbered just about anyone and anything that got in his way.

Definately movie-verse, for the simple fact that he tore Jazz in half for no real reason. That, and he just looks violent.

Beast Machines was pretty evil, too. He was totally devoted to a cause he believed wholeheartedly in, thus making all in his way obsolete. He pretty much destroyed a populace just to make his vision a reality.
    Very "human" for a robot.

I never read the armada comics, I am curious now to see him fight Galvatron. So I can't agree or disagree with you yet, but as far as the armada cartoon goes he was pretty "tame" for a Megatron.

I agree with you on the Jazz death in the movie. I thought Beast Machines Megatron was more crazy than ruthless, but now that you mention it. He did just about whipe out an entire population.

I'd say 2007 Movie Megs followed by G1 Megs from the 86 movie. I've never gotten a "holy shit, this guy's 110% evil!" vibe from any other Megatron.

    Movie Megatron.

He's not a Decepticon leader, he's a big honkin' beast that wants to rip your head off.

    Hrm.
My vote has to go to the Megatron who not only ordered the most powerful Decepticon warship ever built to fire on his own troops just to try and take out a handful of enemies, but who also nearly wiped out the entire human race. Oh. And not to mention that he also enslaved the souls (so to speak) of an entire planet and then started to consume those souls to enhance & power himself.

Beast era Megatron. Enslaving Cybertron using a virus is super-villain level of evilness.
That and taking a rubber duckie into your hot oil bath must be the most devilish statement ever, yessss.

G1 Megs was the most evil as he was very calculating and ruthless in everything he did. I do agree to some extent that he was limited by being in a cartoon, but he still reeked of evilness. Now G1 Galvatron was just insane.

    This man speaks the truth.

Beast Wars Megatron specifically attempted the genocide of the human race. That's ruthless.

    Beast-era Megatron.

#1 Attempts to wipe out the entire human race, starting with the prehistoric humans.
#2 Cuts Rampage's spark in half, and use it to constantly harass & enslave that poor Protoform X.
#3 Kills Optimus Prime and alter the timestream? Awesome.

    Tie.

Movie Megatron for his sheer power and rampaging.
Beast Era Megatron for what Draven said.

I'll up the ante with Dreamwave Energon Megatron. Unfortunately, we never got to see his machinations, but all he does is make power moves in the few issues he's in, not to mention being the same character:

Abducts Optimus Prime to disarm Unicrons defense systems, then abandons him because that wasn't in the deal.
Kills millions of Terrorcons to fullfill his deal to Optimus Prime, and to vent his frustration at being imprisioned for 10 years.
Taunts Scorponok and feigns defeat, just to prove that Scorponoks strategy is wrong and kills him for it.
Then admits that it's time to start his real plan and fun time is over.

It's hard to compare to BM/BW Megs, since DW Energon Megs never got a chance to enact his plan, but you knew it was going to be a doozy.

BW/BM Megatron is without a doubt incredibly ruthless, though so it's hard to say.
