Here we go, the ACCELERATED version of the Most Popular Show Tournament. If nothing else, I listen. So many of you said the bottom four shows in my original brackets were shit, so I dropped them. If the first four shows I seeded were the most popular, then the way I see it we have a Championship RIGHT NOW! I give you: G1 vs Beast Wars!

hmmm,GEEWUN vs. BEASTIES,ill just go with g1,i know,i know... but i kinda a hard choice,but yeah,im getting a feeling its going to get close and lose to beast wars,who knows,maybe ill be a draw. and that optimus prime,some where... eating breakfast,with his faceplate,which make no logical sense,spits out his coffee and says "IT'S A TIE?!?" but its highly doubtful.

Huh. I really had to agonize between G1 and Animated for the first round, and I ultimately went with G1... but here, I find I don't even have to pause to think. It's Beast Wars, no question. I'm a little surprised at myself!

 

I can't even stand to watch the G1 cartoon without throwing up a bit in my mouth. You could sum up everything that was wrong with G1 with the "Carnage in C minor" episode.

But Beast Wars? Even with the aged CGI it blows the animation of Energon and Cybertron out of the water. The characters are fantastic and the action entertaining even by today's standards. Beast Wars came to grips with the canon even when G1 was all over the place with it's plot, and built off of it to make sense in the grand scheme of things.

Beast Wars by a far, FAR margin. I personally would have been torn between Animated and Beast Wars if that was in the finals.

Beast Wars. When G1 was around, I halfheartedly watched episodes as they came and went. When Beast Wars began, I made damn sure I caught every single episode as it aired.

Years later, while G1 is great for rainy day/lazy viewing, Beast Wars is by far the superior series and still has the best writing/characters.

I think G1 is more popular, but I voted for the BETTER show.

Beast Wars hands down. YES Hot Rod/Rodimus came from G1 and YES it was what spawned all we know and love today, but in the end; character and quality of story outweights everything else.
