Most of the ones from the frontpaged Featured Auction from a few days back were ridiculously priced.

 

I'm going with the Black Rodimus repaints. A 5000% markup on a black repaint of a deluxe figure? GTFO.

That widows Ebay auction on her husband's MISB (mostly) collection that she claimed was worth 1,000,000. Other than that I can't think of much.

Of course they say she sold it, I'm pretty sure she didn't. Could be wrong though.

 

Fort Max, MISB, goes up to $4000

 

Whoever bid the BIN on the million dollar auction ended up claiming that her child bought it without permission (I'm sure they just clicked it to see what would happen). She ended up relisting it in an auction style format and sold it with 1 bid for $50,000. RavisCollectibles won the lot and ended up making a shitload of money from what I remember. I remember some of the prices that he ended up getting for some of the non-toy transformer stuff (like the birthday party packages, wrapping paper, misc odds and ends and stuff) were ridiculous. And I remember him getting some huge prices on some of the other toys.

 

They are only worth what people are willing to pay for them, just like anything else.

 

A lot of the high end stuff he sold at bargain prices. And in no way did he get his 50k back.

 

That ginormous crappy Beast Machines Cheetor. Even on clearance for $5 it was a ripoff...

wtf. that guy thinks his collection is worth so much because hes got over 10 of alot of items. he has like 15 each of ani sunstorm and purple shockwave, why?

has like 10 legends sunstorms, has like 10 acidstorms, 12 classsics voy primes....good luck with that sale.

Ebay sellers never cease to amaze me, buyers even more so.

 

Wasn't there an eBay thread on this one? IIRC it was non-stop comedy with "Get Money Productions" or some shit like that.

Regarding the overpriced TFs: anything AFA'd. I think I once saw an AFA'd MISB Targetmaster Scourge for $8000.

But the absolute worst IMO was an eBay auction for a the body of a POS G1 Jetfire for...$16,000! The guy eventually relisted it and it sold for $180  ...probably to himself.
