There have been a plethora of polls and threads created to address such topics as the most successful Megatron, the most evil Megatron, the most intelligent Megatron, etc. but there has not been--at least to my recollection--a thread inquiring as to which Megatron possessed narcissistic traits that prove in excess of any other.

So which one do you believe would qualify? My personal pick is, of course, Beast Era Megatron. He absolutely despised working with troops that weren't mindless drones--even the loyal ones--and his malignant narcissism escalated to the point where he made it his mission to eliminate every ego distinct from his own; devouring the sparks of his entire race to form the "perfect being." Everything about him was grandiose, particularly in Beast Machines, where the narcissistic, egotistical imagery bordered on what some might define as over-the-top. Massive self-glorifying portraits plastered over walls, gargantuan floating heads, ridiculously ornate thrones overlooking the planetary horizon--it just goes on and on.

Yeah, I gotta agree that the Beast Era Megatron was the worst...I think he thought of himself as a god, akin to the Pharoahs of ancient Egypt.

I agree 100% with Beast Wars/Beast Machines Megatron. I still think it is the best Megatron to date.

Beast Wars.. He was egotistical and narcissistic. He was willing to destroy history in the hopes of gaining power. Easily the best Megs ever.

The others were more or less "power hungry"

    Me, too.

Cybertron Megatron/Galvatron is in second place of this.

No doubt Beast Wars Megatron had a god/messiah-complex going about him. Willing to take insane risks (such as destroying Prime) committing mass genocide, dispensing troops, manipulating them, and all in the name of an egoistic philosophy he called his own. Most of all, what separated him from the others were his goals, which were more idealistic than realistic. The others wanted power to rule Cybertron, but BW Megatron sought to reform in his own image, believing that it was best for the planet.

I sense a lot of Magneto vibes going off BW Megatron.

Beast Wars Megs was so full of himself. I believe that's why he's such a likeable villain, instead of just an interesting villain, which about every Megatron has been. It's one of his most enjoyable character traits, but also one of his flaws.

G13 Megatron. He has Frenzy and Rumble hear on either name out of fear what he'll do to them if they do not respond immidiately...

BW Megatron obviously, but I just read War Within and I'd like to nominate that Megatron. I guess that technically G1 comics Megatron had the same "Cybertron = cosmic Dreadnaught" plan, but WW Megatron was this close to actually doing it.

I mean, I guess that's more under the "ambition" heading, but I do think it takes a certain demented "the universe revolves around me" kind of feeling to raze a city with a giant engine just to call out Prime. And his speechifying when they were in the Matrix was pretty megalomaniacal.

Feels a bit like a loaded question; Beast Machines Megatron.
He didn't want to build an empire, he just took it all by near genocide. Enemies and allies alike where removed, all he cared for was his possession of absolute control.

    well played good sir.

but its BW Megs all the way, i mean no other Megatron tried to remake Cybertron in literally his on image, or go back in time and destroy prime.
