I voted Papa John's out of the options listed, but my two favorites are really Uno's for their Chicago Deep Dish and Marco's for their true NY style pizza. West Shore Pizza would come in a close second to Marco's. If you've never lived in NY it's hard to explain... but some of the little hole-in-the-wall mom and pop pizza places have some of the best pizza I've ever tasted. Not this cookie cutter stuff you get from the four places listed in this thread. There was this one tiny shop about a block from where I used to live up there as a kid and, let me tell you, I can't find any pizza that good down here in Tampa or anywhere else since I moved from NY.
I grew up eating pizza from a place called Home Run Pizza, so I'm probably biased when I say that Home Run is my favorite. I also have fond memories of Peter Piper Pizza as a child. I will say that Papa John's or Domino's has the best pizza outside of my childhood pizza place.
TJ's Pizza I haven't had Pizza Hut in forever, and I don't think Papa John's exists in my city. TJ's Pizza is really tasty, they have delicious garlic cheese pizza slices...whatever, it's not pizza, and it's not bread. It's really tasty and they have really good pizza sauce. The teriyaki chicken pizza is my favourite and their pepperoni is really good too because of the really yummy sauce. It'd be interesting if more than two people know what place I'm talking about.
Shakeys were like Pizza Buffets, and never real good, at least the few I ever tried, and they are gone now. Sbarro's are all in Malls, at least were I live.
The best pizza in the world is found in a shopping centre in Bolivia, a place called Brick's. Best pizza I've ever had, and I've had pizza on four continents.
Here's my rankings: Dominos - Diarrhea inducing cardboard Pizza hut - Light case of mud butt Little Ceasers - Meh ok, can handle it. Papa Johns - Better than all of these^ Local spots/Round Table - A little pricier usually, but worth it.
