We are dumb, eh!
I'll bet that we aren't smarter than a 5th grader too!
Pfft. Americans are quite likely just as bad or worse when it comes to our country. I wouldn't get too smug.
Word. I remember a poll back in like '94 or '95 that said 99% of Americans knew who the Power Rangers were, but only 97% knew who Bill Clinton was.
And I'd be amazed if even 30% of Americans could pass the same test we give immigrants.
I'd easily fail the "French as a 2nd language" bit.
This is a thread DESIGNED to spark controversy. should be fun
QFT! They pretty much don't teach French at ALL here in AB.
yeah, i guarantee the people surveyed weren't maritimers. we know our stuff down here and we don't get the credit for it. i guarantee you if you were to do the same survey with just atlantic canada we would do a whole lot better.
Bill Clinton wasn't a Power Ranger?
Ever seen the (old) Tom Green show where he's asking an American lady to guess where he's from, she keeps guessing wrong so he says "its close to the U.S." her response: "Sweden ?"
If 60 % of Canadians would fail / citizenship test....what would that rate be for the Americans in their own test I wonder ?
Secretly, he was.
he was the red ranger right?
i dunno, its hard to tell when they transition to the jpnese scenes.
Here's a freshly made quiz on Canada for anyone who's interested.

P.S. I had to take this quiz four times before I got through the whole thing, so I must be a part of the 60% that would fail the citizenship exam.
I got through the whole thing in one try....well atleast to the 2nd last question. I mean, who the hell knows what gameshow host is Canadian? Is that on the immigration exam?
All I know about Canadia is that it's the U.S.'s hat for chilly days.
Thats EASY ! Alex Trebeck - Jeopardy
were(the US) equally as ignorant as any other nation out there. we could give a fuck less though, and that might be our downfall.
Psssst, it's spelt "we're"....
I should clarify: the quiz was meant to be a fun general knowledge test and has nothing to do with the citizenship exam. When I said I'm probably amongst the 60% who would fail the citizenship exam, I meant that I would do badly at it since I was tripped up three times by this general knowledge quiz. I doubt newcomers to the country would be required to know which celebrities have a Canadian background or what the name of the trophy is in hockey, but that sure would make their exam a lot more fun.
