Actually unofficially people from both Marvel and Capcom have said that a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a distinct possibility using the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom engine. There are also rumblings of a HD-Remix version of Marvel Vs Capcom 2.

That being said I say bring on Megaman 10. You know it will happen!

The trend is both good and bad. On one hand, its great to get a game just a few months after you first learn of it. On the other hand, it appears that a console (Wii) does not have any good games (1st party) on the horizon, which leads to angry gamers. Then, again when gamers had to wait longer for Zelda: Twilight Princess, mainly after the game was pushed back several times than when it was first supposed to be released this angered gamers. In the past the worst delay cycle that gamers got was Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A game that began development very late 1993 and was set to be released alongside Super Mario 64 at the launch of the Nintendo 64, but had numerous setbacks due to various reasons. The game was given numerous release windows that were constantly setback to a later date, kept frustrating gamers. Gamers became very angry with Nintendo because of the regular setbacks that plagued the title. Released in November 1998, the game took a little less than 5 years to make, fortunately for all of us and Nintendo, the game quickly became one of the best video games of all-time. So was it worth the wait? Yes, but Nintendo seems eager to avoid a repeat by announcing their games shortly before their release. If only they could find a balance between the two.

Actually the most delayed gave is Duke Nukem Forever

"DNF was officially first announced in April 1997, and promotional information for the game was released in one form or another in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2007, and, most recently, in December 2008."

But how many people wanted DNF as compared to Zelda 64 (Ocarina of Time), uh yeah.

Watch Nintendo announce Earthbound, recreated in 3-D for the Wii at E3 2009. In other words, it would look like the cutscenes from Smash Bros. Brawl featuring Ness. Games like Super Mario RPG and Sin & Punishment, were in high demand for download on the Virtual Console and Nintendo delivered. Earthbound, fans have been screaming for from the start, has not shown up yet. Watch that the reason that it hasn't been released on the Virtual Console yet is because Nintendo is making it exclusively for the Wii.

Elite 4 will probably take that crown sooner or later (most likely later).

Yeah my money is on later. There is a reason they didn't call it Duke Nukem Any Time Soon.
