His mother is quoted as saying "I know what my son did was stupid, but if anything it proves that these kids can’t be given responsibility for taking medication that could do serious harm." No, madam, it proves that for the good of us all, your son and yourself should be removed from the gene pool. What kind of idiot chews 45 sticks of ANY sort of gum in 25 minutes?

Actually, thinking back on my schooldays, the school nurse couldn't give anyone so much as a paracetmol (in the early stages of whooping cough, I coughed so much I threw up. The nurse gave me a Strepsil  ). Not sure how the legality of this works, but... 14 years old and chewing that much nicotine gum? This guy would not have been a loss.

Sometimes we should just let Darwinism take it's natural course. And other times we should help it along... like by shooting this kid, his parents, and anyone within 6th cousins related to him. Gotta keep those stupid genes out of the gene pool.

Doesn't this proves that nicotine is addictive? Besides, I don't think this kid is a moron. This is like another kid who's taking aspirin thinking it was candy. I just though his brain got addicted to something he shouldn't be exposed to anyway (like drugs and alchol). If anyone should be at fault, it the kid passing the gum out to his friends, basically like the mom said [the kid] isn't responsible enough to that much gum. Therefore, the gum should be given to his parents. Why the heck a kid would smoke at that age I'll never know.

Who knows under what circumstance that this kid was given this gum. He may have thought that it was regular gum.

 

What the hell? Why would a school give out consent-free nicotine gum? It's suppose to be taken in small doses!

 

obviously the kid was less than intelligent, but there is no need whatsoever for a school to be handing out free nicorette to students. that's just asking for trouble in itself.
