I must be in the vast minority when I say I'm not terribly interested in Venom. Course I feel that way about the new Transformers Movie as well.

The problem I have with Venom is that he doesn't look any bigger than Spiderman. My idea of Venom has always been a huge, bulky figure that towers over Spidy.

Very true, I feel the same way in that aspect. I think they generally nailed the face more or less though which is what sums up the Venom character IMO...though a huge white insignia would help as well.

I think part of the problem could be that there aren't many actors save for Michael Clark Duncan who have the kind of muscle mass that Venom is recognized for.

I mean he worked as Kingpin in Daredevil. But I'm not so sure if he's right for Eddie Brock/Venom.

I just wanted to quote this for the third time in a row.

Actually, I wasn't a fan of Eric Foreman for Venom initially. I wanted the giant hulking Venom like everyone else. However, I kind of like the whole Anti Spider-man thing they are going with here. Basically, it is what Peter would have been without the morals. All of the power and none of the responsibility.

He's actually pretty damn good for Venom in the movie.

My dad took me to a preview showing last weekend, and the guy who played Brock was perfect for the role.

I'm trusting Raimi to pull it off, but I can't imagine how he's going to deal with Sandman, the Peter vs the Symbiote conflict, Venom, and also wrap up Harry Osbourne in one film.

That being said, I'll be making the drive to the Imax for this one.

I kinda wanted Venom to be bigger when I first heard about him being in the movie, but I like what Rami has done. I like that Eddie Brock/Venom is closer to Peter's size. Does Movie Venom really need to be bigger to be scary the crap out of Movie Spider-man?

    *SPOILERS!*

Sandman ends up not really being so bad, Peter and the symbiote is most of the movie, Venom isn't there for much, just the final battle, and Harry becomes the New Goblin (Duh), but in the final battle, saves Peter's life, but dies because of it.

Yous guys might want to change your spoiler coloring to silver, it blends in much better than the color you're currently using as I can read it pretty well without highlighting it.

I don't mind that Venom isn't massive I would have liked Brock to be a bit thicker but it's not a movie ending negative. He wasn't overly huge to begin with in the comics (other than Brock being a muscular guy, which would take a full blown career to be that big) and the movies try to ground things more in reality. I kind of like him being more of a mirrored spiderman (Brock being almost identical to Parker but on the other side of the coin) I read the book and I'm prepared for the film. I hope they continue the series and include Venom after 3. I'd be happy without Tobey, Dunst (especially Dunst), and Raimi as long as they keep it in the same vein as the first 3.
