Now I for one, actually like the films. But it appears to me that some things, good or bad, that are directed towards Bay, are in fact due to Steven Spielberg's involvement. It was not only his idea to make the focus of the first movie mainly on Sam and Bumblebee, which actually comprised most of the film until Bay, Orci, and Kurtzman came along and added more military stuff, but HE was also the one responsible for hiring Bay in the first place. I mean this guy who was a fan of the toys, comics, and cartoons in the early 80's hired Bay to direct because he thought he had the "vision" to make something like Transformers work, despite the fact that most of his films prior to that were poorly received (sans The Island which was also produced by DreamWorks). And it was his idea to make Sam the one that kills Megatron at the end of the first film, since it was originally going to be Optimus Prime himself (as seen in the video game).

So I guess, this guy: :bay  isn't the only one to blame.

It was actually because he's Jewish, and Megan Fox referred to Michael Bay as having a "Hitler-like" persona. Fill in the blanks by yourself. If you've taken history class and/or have researched stuff about World War II, then you'll probably find out soon enough.

I thought he was Japanese. Yeah, yeah definitely Japanese.

Back on topic though, I'll give Spielberg lots of credit for hiring Bay, as he was the first director on my mind when a Transformers movie was in the works, but a couple of his other decisions bothered me a bit. As much as I like the first film, I do agree Sam killing Megatron kind of made the ending of the film a bit sudden and anti climactic (and made the Autobots a little useless), and I wish they stuck with the original ending (as seen in the game) which would have been much more crowd pleasing and bad ass.

Megan's firing I could take or leave. While I think her exit within the film universe could have been handled better, I don't watch the films for her anyway. I watch it for the :bay  :bay  :bay

For those wondering, here's how it would have ended (for the most part), if they stuck with the original script.

Huh, that would've been cool of Prime managed to kill Megs in TF1. Or if Megs had landed on Sam when he died. That would've been some epic shit there :lol

    :lol

    Spoken like a true 15-year-old.

Let me tell you something, my young Padawan:

Regardless of how you might feel about the whole thing, it's never a good idea to make extreme comparisons to Hitler and the Nazi party...especially when you're just referring to a film director. It's both insensitive and ignorant.

Carly was a disgrace. I mean I like Rosie, but her character was a waste of screentime. Glad she's not coming back

According to Bay on the ROTF commentary, the entire idea was very last minute.

Hence why it felt so sudden in the movie.

And Megan wasn't? I mean I do think that she served some sort of purpose in the first film (being the reason why Sam bought Bee in the first place and aiding him in defeating Brawl with the military) but in the second, aside from having Wheelie with her, she didn't serve any real purpose either (aside from being MAJOR eye-candy and giving almost every guy in the theater a hard-on)

The Game ending was not the original ending, The original script still had Sam killing Megatron. meaning that the The game ending was completly made up

No, it was. Michael Bay stated that in the commentary for ROTF.
