I don't think Roberts would just introduce Saber just to kill him off. He's done well with characters so far, and I think he likes creating major and nearly unstoppable villains. Which is an influence of Furmans I suspect. I imagine we'll be seeing much of Star Saber as the series continues. And maybe not always as a villain.

This is something I'm wondering about:

    WHO STOLE THE MATRIX?

Now that it has been said in the last issue that the real Matrix was stolen after Nova Prime held it to keep it from the Senate over its rumored (proven) life creating properties. My theory floating around MTMTE since Chaos Theory that the thief is someone we've already known...
    a gifted, former Senator?
    or
a wise, demented bot in a cape?

Well, this issue clearly states it was somebody on Tyrest's research team, and accompanying the text is a shot of a guy running through a sewer system holding the Matrix in his hand, while being chased by gun drones.

It could be anyone of course, and whoever stole it could have passed it onto other people, like a relay race.

Still, I think it's a bit odd how the guy holding the matrix has one distinct feature: he's colored white/green like Minimus Ambus, but his helmet is clearly shaped to look like a feline, or maybe the Cybertronian, pre-animal version of it.

One character that springs to mind that has a similar feature is Leozack, but he has a different color scheme and has no vizor like the guy on the page.

Anyone have any clues? Could still be a generic, but you never know, especially with James Roberts... ;)

Dominus Animus it could be. Somehow Rewind is still looking for him and Dominus disappearance could be explained. What if the voices Tyrest are that of the Matrix....

A certain Senate friend of Orion Pax changed his color quite a bit.

Well, I'm looking at it again and the helmet is definitely, cleary shaped like a cat, even with tron-lights where the eyes are....I have a hard time believing Alex was actually trying to draw something else and it came out wrong.

Don't believe it's Dominus Ambus or Shockwave.

Animus? We've seen him in previous issues, and he had a lion-shape on his chest, not his helmet. I also like to believe not every second Transformer changes his colorscheme as much as Shockwave used to.....

The thief is obviously a pre-empurata Whirl

Yeah having gone back and compared them, probably not Animus. Thief guy looks like he could be a pre-cassettified Ravage, he could just be 'some guy' they used to pull off the theft and then made disappear. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

When I was reading, the animal-shaped helmet made me think of Tigatron, or maybe Carnivac because he looked kind of purple to me. I like the idea that it could be Ravage. Maybe we'll get more info about this mystery bot in another flashback issue down the line.

Minimus already has Tigatron's colourscheme, and Tigatron doesn't have a cat-shaped head.

I dunno, maybe it's just a generic? Sometimes a bunch of dudes in suits putting a rolled-up rug in a car trunk is just them heping a guy move, you know what I'm saying?

I just noticed something. When we first see Skids escape in issue 2. There was writing on the wall behind him. I just noticed, he has what appears to be a welding tool/laser scalpel in his hands - meaning he probably wrote the warning behind him. Makes me wonder how that thought warfare crime happened. Did he perform a mindwipe on himself?

Star Saber reminds of a Warhammer Space Marine in personality.

Also, since Skids is apparently a criminal, this means we can rule him out of being Agent 113?

Yeahh, you're right. But I'm still wondering why he would be drawn with a helmet that stands out so much, instead of a more generic one. Simple diversification? Or maybe there's an entire group of Cybertronians with animalistic features?

I'm so paranoid when it comes to Robert clues right now :drunk

    Yes.

    Yes.

I was baffled by that page as I took it that Dai Atlas was killed. It never occurred to me he was only wounded. Makes perfect sense. Feel a bit stupid now. Last emotional act in a positive sense.

Is it him carrying the matrix, igniting the hotspot or simply being created at all that is his crime? We'll find out. Can't wait.

    Fun, fun, fun.

I loved Getaway and Chromedome too. They, regular size Fort Max and Nightbeat were my faves during the whole master era. Never liked Fort Max as a citybot. Very pleased with his depiction now.

    That's brilliant.

    Save Tailgate!

I was thinking this reading it too.

I also wondered if those on the list of the necrobot were linked by construction or by having been tampered with at the institute? Who was on it? Magnus? Hound? Flywheels? Chromedome?

Such a good issue and series! Don't want it to ever end.
