The guy who runs the TF2 Live Action Movie Blog has received some new info about Revenge of the Fallen. Again, this is all "grain of salt" stuff until otherwise confirmed, but it seems to match up with what we know.

Ok I really hope the whole Megatron not being in the movie is fake. I mean to me not having Megatron in the movie is like Prime dying in the 86 movie! But oh well everything else sounds cool.

 

Read that earlier from the original post on Allspark's forum. Interesting rumors. So Bay said 40 TFs or something before? The rumor here says the military vehicles with the humans transform into Autobots. That adds to the count to help hit 40 in a way.

 

My God if the whole Alice/Pretender thing ends up fitting this then it's going to be a painful thing to watch indeed; sounds like Generic Sci-Fi Channel Robo Alien Space Monster in Human Flesh Character #47231.

Interesting about Devastator's supposed design; I wonder if it'd be like Animated Mixmaster? Also, if Springer's in this movie as an Osprey, that's kind of lame considering how we already had an Osprey TF in the last movie line, even if Incinerator was toy-only.

So, seems like more "HE TELL ME" stuff with no proof backing a lot of it up. Sounds like he's just echoing rumours that have come up in the past.

 

Well in response to the articles opinion bout superion don't forget that arcee had 2 toys also in the first movie line

If the Legends toy is anything to go by, he'll probably be a remold. Maybe this one will get hands. That's a lot of Springers we'll have gotten lately; Botcon '07 Springer, Universe Springer, Legends ROTF Springer, potential Voyager ROTF Springer, and maybe even a Botcon '09 Springer if they include him with the presumed Wreckers theme.

 

They can't really retool Incinerator into Springer, given the designs are different, and well, he has hands. Incinerator is designed around a gear mechanism for his spinning rotors that would be unfeasible to reconstruct to rework when they could just do a newer, better toy.

I have a feeling Bay is likely to have been telling the truth when he said Megs wouldn't be in ROTF (or if he is, it'll only be a minimal appearance). The second conflicting rumour about the Megs/Starscream relationship being fleshed out more just sounds more like wishful fan thinking to me.

And the idea of a Superion/Devastator battle could have been an early proposed idea, but most likely was dropped for the movie in favour of other Autobot characters. It sounds like the kind of 'big', crazy action that Bay would like to see in a movie of his. Hasbro may have early on suggested Superion as a potential Autobot opponent for Devastator and hence why we are seeing at least a re-painted Superion figure now for the ROTF toyline.

Alot of this could've been rumored around what we know, still, good rumors.

 

I can belive all of it, except for Superion bieng in the movie. I really hope the Beat/Saprk and the Trax do combine, would make sense since thier Car modes look the same. Just hope it dosent become a Transformers: Energon movie.

 

So my guess that Springer would be in RotF was right!

It's kinda obvious actually, apart from teh Legends RotF Springer. He and Roadbuster have been getting lots of attention from Hasbro lately (TFU Evac-repaint Springer, Botcon Hotshot-repaint Springer) and (Roadbuster UM, TFU Hotshot-repaint Roadbuster).

 

This would be nice. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
