Call me when Blu-ray is announced. I don't buy DVD's of HD shows *is an HD whore* Still though, glad it's being released at all!
The concept art extras and what not certainly make it more valuable, actualy thinking about getting it now.
Much internal division on whether or not to get this. On one hand, DVD with concept art. On the other, DVD with crappy cover means features may or may not be up to personal snuff. *lesigh*
My list of Pros: - It's edited together into a movie-like presentation. - It's all in widescreen. - The animatic and concept art special features could be pretty promising. - It's Transformers: Prime. : D My list of Cons: - It's unknown if these episodes will be featured on the eventual Season 1 set, so there's uncertainty if one would "double dip" the first five episodes by getting both this and the complete season set. - A commentary or even just a couple of interviews could've been welcome additions to the special features list. I'm still a bit unsure on whether or not I'll be getting this, but there's at least more than a month until it hits store shelves for people to finalize their decisions. Right now, though, I think my pros are outweighing my cons for it, and I might just end up getting both this and the Season 1 set whenever that comes out.
Would only buy this show on blu-ray given the CG detail. But... I don't really like the show enough to pay blu-ray prices if such a release existed. Still waiting on someone to release Animated Season 3.
Sounds nice, but I think I'll wait and see what the first season box set does--Hope it's in blu-ray. I hate buying shows in single disc form as I ALWAYS get screwed later on with box set releases.
Still own a DVD player and have a CRT to watch it on. So the DVD release of the first 5 episodes in a wide screen format makes this exciting news. And December is not too far away.
