I was under the impression that the not-Coneheads were indeed a collaboration with a Radicon or at least someone who had made previous custom models of the Coneheads. PP does stand for "Partner-Project", after all, meaning it's a collaboration with folks other than iGear.

People like to bash iGear at any opportunity they can get and just regurgitate accusations of stolen molds ad nauseum without any real proof. Faith Leader and the rest of the PP03 Seeker clones I can understand but the Coneheads seemed a unique case of commissioned customs from what I read.

"Just a heavy retool of Warpath"? Try an entirely brand new mold. The only similarity appears to be the general transformation scheme, but the size and molding appear to be entirely different. It's not like iGear designed a new head and cannon and simply stuck those on an existing Warpath figure and called him Impactor/Presser.

    Now I'm worrying 3 things:
    1. Price.
    2. QC.
    3. Face parts w/ close mouth.
I'll watch how it goes next...

I'll be interested in this figure. always good to get something offbeat and in the comic-verse.
However what the size class here and price point of course.

Though your point is well-taken, it actually does matter in a legal sense, since the latter involves physical theft- something that is substantially simpler to prove than intellectual theft and would carry with it an additional penalty.

I expect Impactor will have an alternate head with a closed mouth.

Isn't stealing the engineered design more than just IP theft, whether it came straight from the molds themselves or via reverse engineering? Although maybe using HasTak's molds without permission is actually considered a no-no even in China...I dunno. Probably not, but that's about the only way I could see one being any 'worse' than the other...

I think he was talking about who would buy it if Hasbro ripped of igear with this figure to teach them a lesson.

And honestly, this isn't directed at you anymore zmog, when I was a kid I didn't buy figures for the character, I both them because they looked cool. Since hasbros main consumers are kids I don't think they would have a problem getting this guy sold. Now I want Hasbro to do this so I don't have to drop 100+ on this lol, oh well I probably will end up getting it.

In a recent interview Dillinger by Sid Beckett the "Shark" and "Presser" were mentioned as "forthcoming". I think there are a lot of people who would still be interested in a Presser that is better looking than that Hasbro combiner one.

How many projects does Igear have "revealed?" It seems they just splurge their concepts and then nothing happens for a huge amount of time.
