There's always more than one. You can't have just one.
Will there be more seekers?
Sure hope so.
I'd be interested in how they do them - they'd have to fulfill something other than 'moar jets', because the Eradicons have jet troopers. It might be a nice way of getting some Starscream backstory - perhaps they all served in the same air unit during the war.
(Letting my mind wander a bit, anyone think it'd be cool if they're out to get Starscream? At least initially. Perhaps Megatron isn't the first one he's betrayed in order to get ahead... It'd explain why they're not here anymore, and why Starscream is in such a position as he is - and give some nice 'con centric episodes. )
Did the show runners say something like they wouldn't add them unless they were each unique and brought something interesting to the show?
I don't think they wanted just a bunch of Starscreams running around pointlessly.
I like how Animated did them, with each being a distinct part of Starscream. If they can pull off something like that in Prime, then by all means, they should.
That's a good point, in this series the eradicon jets are like seekers. I guess they'll probably only make toys of SS repaints.
Echo this sentiment!
That's an interesting comment considering Thundercracker, Skywarp, Ramjet, Thrust, and Dirge all had their own style/uniqueness.
What show(s) were these people watching?! lol
I like the idea of the Seekers just being different jets.
Hell who says we need G1 Thrust when we could have BM Thrust?
You mean Waspinator?
Agreed. Would be interesting to see.
Thrust was the motorcycle, Jetstorm was the fighter jet.
More decepticons? No. We already have Megatron, Starscream, Breakdown, Knockout and Airachnid to pay attention to. 3 new characters for fan wank would get in the way of character development.
I wouldn't mind seeing some Seekers, but again, only if they contributed more than just being... well, Seekers.
Thundercracker and Skywarp are the front-runners, but I'd also like to see Sunstorm (the 'cons need more color) and maybe Slipstream.
I guess it doesn't take much to impress some people when simple colour swapping and a different voice equals a totally different style and/or uniqueness.
Take the colours away until they are just colouring book outlines and you couldn't tell Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp apart stylistically. At least the Coneheads had slight variations in their wings.
From what I recall, they said that they have no plans to bring in any of the other Seekers.
In fact the way they stated it seemed almost like they actually don't even want to do it. They specifically named Thundercracker as a character they chose not to put into the show. So I really wouldn't expect to see any of the other Seekers anytime soon.
Maybe in season 2 they'll change their mind. But right now it seems to be just Screamer and his team of Eradicon troops.
Not really wanting Seekers here. We already got four Decepticon jets,
Different vehicle plz.
What's interesting is that Starscream seemed to insinuate that the vast majority of Cons chose flying alt modes. Another helicopter could be fun.
Although perhaps Starscream wasn't being pro-flyer, but anti-car. That would leave room for tanks and stuff, I guess. It would make sense that he'd look down on something that can't really play an active role in battle.
I'd also imagine he probably personally doesn't care too much for it because car-alts remind him too much of Autobots.
That's complete speculation though.
I can almost bet on a Skywarp and Thundercracker repaint of the Starscream toy. But I'm thinking Jetstorm could pop up as commander of the jet Vehicons. But be cool to have a Prime figure of HFTD Terradive in the series.
I'd be up for another Helicopter, specially because Airachnid is a pretty normal Helicopter, we got room for other kinds like Blackout's badass helicopter or one of those helicopters with two blades...
I just don't want more effin' jets! Even a BOMBER plane would be acceptable. We even got an upcoming Decepticon called Dreadwing and he'll probably be another jet.
Separate names with a comma.
