This formula has worked wonders for ROTF, judging from the huge numbers so far. Building upon the fascinating transformation sequences and spectacular set pieces of TF1, ROTF has ramped up the action to unprecedented heights and given everyone a full dose of robot action.

But I can't help but feel that the same formula won't work as well for a third film - there's only so much robot action the public can take. Some posters here seem to agree as well. What're your views? Use the same formula in the third film and risk robot overload? Or go in a different, say more thought provoking, route - with giant robot action, of course.

I don't think it will work for the third movie. I have complicated feelings about TF2. TF2 wins for its action scenes, superb CGI. It fails as a whole movie. I still like it but for the third i like to see a complete movie than video clips.

Well, too bad for us that the movie will go on to gross a metric ass-ton of cash, which ensures that the next film is Transformers 3: Splodey Sploosh Ka-blam Kablooey in Imax 3-d.

Ive been asking for this since the first movie.

And the reason I have not seen the second movie is because I dont want to encourage movie makers to make these types of movies.

I wish I was as strong of you, because I dropped $10.50 into the gaping maw of Michael Bay and contributed to the problem. I feel soiled and empty, scared and alone.

That's ridiculous! Hey man, you have any Revenge of the Fallen toys? I hate them, but I just need to buy another. Then I'll STOP. Ooh, Reverb is cool. Just him, then I'm done. Oh..wait..wait...I really DO need another Ravage....

Then what is your opinion regarding the formula? Or is it your modus operandi to barge in an discussion, cry 'Pathetic' and then scoot away?

So what? I am voting with my wallet, and they are not getting any money from me. I save my money and I get to spend my saved money elsewhere. They also get slightly less profit from the movie, and I feel good about that.
