Jetfire does look pretty cool now. Can't wait for the actual toy!

Can't wait to see the actual design for Jetfire, a Legends figure is hardly going to be show accurate... but there's a definite "Gerwalk" feel to this toy :)  The fact he's a 'Con is also cool, nice to work in that aspect of his backstory... can imagine there'll be some switching sides at the 11th hour.

Theory for the Jetfire combines with Prime idea:

What if Jetfire's robot mode looks like this so any possible combination the Legends class toy has would take priority? I'm not saying I'm expecting 100% film accuracy nor radical difference in design...

But more like, what if this Jetfire is designed differently to make the combination work on such a small scale?

What if every version of Jetfire's engineering is hampered by the combination function at EVERY scale?

That's what I'm worried about with Jetfire and with the rumored new mold of Optimus Prime; I'd hate to see them revolve around a combination gimmick at the expense of them being good toys overall.

Can people cut out this bullshit with saying that anyone who doesn't like the movie designs is b/c it doesn't look like G1. I just want the things to look like Transformers as opposed to generic robots from animes or piles of scrap metal. I did see the first TF movie and didn't like it. I doubt I'll waste money to see the second and I'll wait for the numbers to see if people still want to go watch beautifully rendered garbage??? (CG = great, designs = horrible)

In my opinion, the head should be on top of a torso, not in front of it. The first thing I thought of was Kuato (sp?) from Total Recall. The forearm should not make up 80% of an arm! And with all that available material making up the front of the plane... please tell me that just doesn't end up as a backpack.

The design does look ferocious, but it's obvious that a lot of height is being sacrificed to avoid JF towering over the other robots. And that makes baby Jesus cry.

Could you imagine him as been the Transformer clown from 'It' we never had? :lol
I can't wait for the bigger toy! There's only one thing I don't like about him, the bird like legs. They did the same with TF1 Starscream. Just because they can fly dosent mean they have to be 'bird bots'!

Anyone notice how that "shield" thing in front of Jetfire's face has the same shape as the Blackbird's cockpit? Maybe that's a design element many people are overlooking. Remember, Legends toys cheat alot with their transformations...

Maybe. One of those pic looks a bit like battle armor on legs.

Regarding the figure itself, the colour scheme goes a long way to making this figure look more impressive than early images indicated. It's badass.

Wheelie is officially the 2nd cutest thing ever - the cutest being a Chibi Cthulu plush. I may even end up liking him more than Jazz (don't hurt me).

Jetfire is OK as a design in it's own right I'm not convinced that it's quite transformed correctly - and it may gain interest by combination with Optimus (if some is able to figure that out soon).

But I'm not sure i'd describe it as thrillingly good -but unlike somepeople I like for Transformers to sometimes look a bit different such as Injector. So I don't immediatly hold it against it that it looks like a Hunched backed Destroyer Droid crossed with a Gerwalk.
Or that it looks like a Go Bot I have.

I'm not a big fan of Legends, but they are often quite ambitious.
I cant look at the blackbird without thinking of Dive-Dive and Vamp from the Gobots line.

    Wouldn't it be more efficient...

If he could actually articulate his head a little? He has Burtons Batman
syndrome where in order to look to the side he has to move his entire
body. Maybe when we get a Voyager or Leadership I will be more satis-
fied. Ooohhh, the waiting for a trailer is painful.

sorta reminds me of Lugnut, to be honest-though his legs and arms are backwards
