omg he looks so frickin awesome I love him and the bonus is he is huge def worth 20 bones when he comes out...my only gripe is no ladder ...but the water/laser cannon makes him look more formidable
Good question. I know that a lot of the Classics 1.0 figures can hold their G1 weapons... I haven't tried with any of the Universe/Classics figures yet though.
yea lol but a lot can't, as well, like rodimus can't hold his g1's guns. but he can hold the sharkticon gun lol! and prime can't hold his but i hope Inferno can. because i like his gun lol! g1 toys might be out of date, but the guns are still the most "gun looking" weapons to date, in my opinion, and also far better detailed as well.
I love the look of him - there is just something old-school about him...the boxiness, the head sculpt, the vehicle mode's old time feel, the clear windows. All of that really endears him to me. Thinking ahead though, the Autobot classics display is getting a bit RED - Inferno, Optimus, Sideswipe, Ironhide are all very red, Jetfire has some huge swaths of red with his weapons. I'm glad Hound and his green are coming out to break it up a bit. This isn't to mention Rodimus who I never bought.
Yeah, I've got my Classics Hot Rod holding the Hasbro Reissue's guns... so they may have modified them (probably when they modified the toy to be able to hold the larger peg for his Targetmaster I'm guessing...). I've also got Classics Grimmy holding his gun and sword too. Definently have to agree with you there. Their weapons are still some of the best looking... even a lot of the swords.
Yes he can...I have mine posed that way right now: dual-wielding both G1 guns with his own attached to his back as a jetpack...and they're not the guns from Targetmaster Hot Rod.
This guy looks like he'll be my favorite Classics Autobot next to Silverstreak. He actually looks more 'leaderish' than Classics Prime does. Perhaps he'll have to take command of my Classics shelf.
I just showed my Uncle who was a huge G1er back in the day ..he gave me all his G1 toys and does not collect any of the new stuff...anyways when I showed him this inferno he was really impressed he joked now I have to give him his toys back....this guy is such a tribute to g1 its very nice and man he looks nice and big right on par with jetfire/skyfire ...but you know what would be pretty cool... if they put Soundwaves head sculpt painted him blue made room for a tape (in the front cab) and threw a radar dish in place of that water cannon....well you would have a really great updated version of Soundwave
Dude, this guys looks so old school. He's going to be interesting looking when he gets the Henkei treatment and all the copper colored bits are chrome. He'll actually look pretty official then.
From behind, Inferno looks great. Unfortunately I can't say I'm very impressed looking at him on a front view. If Inferno had something to break up all those blocky parts on his hip area or on his chest he would look a lot more appealing to me.
