Apparently Ravage/Tigatron appear on the screen and do various activities.
They are already out in Japan. HLJ is beginning to ship them. Yay!!!
Wait, wait... Tigatron and Ravage dance around your screen?
The top right pic made me LOL.
That's... Worrying. Given the cases of spyware on USB drives... Looks like I won't be using these at work any time soon. And I'll probably strip their software once I get them...
Alright, I never posted it in my first post, but it now makes sense the reason the price for these is so high.
Death kitty pouncing around my screen, potentially nom'ing my icons, stealin' my data?
Do want. Spyware be-damned.
I wonder if Device Label Blaster will have a similar function.
Also, I hope that the software installed on the flash drives will have a "Change Language Drop down Menu" or something along those lines, very few of us on these boards can read Japanese.
Itty bitty Wavage on my screen?... I could need something to spice up my desktop a bit. Do want!
Too bad Ravage is already listed as discontinued at Hlj
I doubt several languages will be available since these are ment for the Japanese market.
I'd say it's definate that it'll be Japanese only text. Can you buy a German language electronics in NA?
Wait. Are you honestly suspecting that TakaraTomy will put spyware on these?
Well, it can happen by accident. Around last christmas there was a case here in Sweden where a store had been selling 8gb flash-drives that caried two trojans. Upon investigation it became clear that one of the computers that tested the drives at a late stage of production was infected.
Not to mention that there is a definitely not-trivial rate of pre-purchase malware found on computer products (that have the memory capacity for it) manufactured in China (which is well, most of 'em, but I format new hard drives when I get them and run anti-virus software checks on any other memory-holding hardware that I can). It doesn't matter whether these incidents are accidental or not, they do happen. The best way to be safe is to know that the danger exists and treat it as a real possibility of it happening.
As to the language issue regarding these, someone posted pics on tformers showing the software in English, so at least that language option is included in there anyway.
Although, it seems obvious this software will work on Windows XP, will work it work on any other later Windows version (Vista, 7, 2003, 2008, or 2008 R2). It doesn't seem likely that this software would receive any updates, once released.
I was thinking that, but a guy can hope, can't he?
May be Decepticon learn how to inflect the work with virus?
Separate names with a comma.
