Kil just noticed that Hasbro has trademarked "Gravitas" and "Optronix", and I noticed that they also have trademarked either "Ancients" or "Chamber of the Ancients". :sly2:

Man that prime just looks worse each time I see it. Still getting it, but it just might be the crown prince of ugly in my collection. (And no, I don't have any version of Armada Smokescreen.)

Damn it, so close yet so far. If only he didn't look superdeformed and had a decent pose I would buy it. At least there's the 6 inches of metal love coming in the "robot master" version (or whatever they've nicknamed the larger line as).

Or "Members of the Chamber of Ancients"

    Yeah pretty vague Nevermore.

    I doubt it'll hold legally.

    Why bother?

This thing is really, really ugly. The 6" version looks much better, but I'll still hold out until I see it in the flesh...

To be honest, you'd be lucky. I'm not holding my breath on something as collector-oriented as the Titanium series making it to my little corner of the world - unless it's in a box addressed to me, from BBTS, or Bill, or one of the other online stores.

Awesome packaging, excellent that it comes with such a cool stand, beautiful that it's a titanium WW Prime... Yet I have no desire to have a "Bend over to take it in the exhaust" pose Optimus Prime.
Why can't these be posable at the least? Then we could have some neato metal Action Masters?

So... the word Ancients got a TM? So nothing in the world can be called ancient now without copyright problems?

He looks like he's melting. I wonder if the same team that did the regular Titaniums did these. Perhaps how the SW team is doing the Star Wars Transformers, and they aren't up to the quality of regular TFs, the same is happening here, where the regular TF crew can't get their Titaniums to match up to the Star Wars quality.

I'm not sure why some you don't understand the concept of Statuette. The figure is what it is a a mere 3" diecast statuette with some movement and it's not bad at all for what it is, Hasbro bought Galoob and they want to revive that Brand Name along with Micromachines. Yes Galoob started this with "Action Fleet" and Hasbro is now expanding upon the 3" ships to include 3" statuettes.

Oh and it's It's actually "Chamber of the Ancients".

    *sigh*

    In brief:

"TM" = "Trademark" =|= "Copyright". The Spider-Man character, his appearance, costume design, background story and whatnot are copyrighted. The NAME "Spider-Man" is a trademark.

Trademarks only apply in commercial use. DC have a character named "Captain Marvel" which is referred to as "Captain Marvel" a million times within their comic book stories, but Marvel own the trademark "Captain Marvel", hence DC can't use that name on their COVERS.

Trademarks only apply in specific fields. You can have a toy named "Wickywoo", and someone else could put a home improvement tool named "Wickywoo" on the market and you still couldn't do a thing about it, because it's a different category than "toys".
