More movie scout repaints (now with photo)

One of my friend just found a black Hardtop and a military-green Signalflare.

    There's a Sector-7 logo on Hardtop's key and Signalflare's arm.

    Pictures will come up soon.

Interesting? Could this be the first time Humans will actualy fight back against the Transformers in a toy line? I may have to pick these up even though I already have two of each. I wonder if there will be a story to it in the bio's?

Excellent moulds, both of them. We really have had a lot of extremely good Scout/Basic figures over the last couple of years; Energon was really good for them (often outshining the larger figures IMO), and Cybertron/Galaxy Force was fantastic for them.

Hardtop would work well as a Sector7 vehicle.

I must admit I have a soft spot for HARDTOP (!), so will probably get the SECTOR 7 version too - It's a neat idea integating the humans into the line, even as subtley as this.

"Aren't they just old Energon prototypes?" :)  A movie toy with a cyberkey... how lame. Decos are terrible too, the worst I've seen in a long time.

Yeah, I liked the Hartop mold, but never bought either one. I'll definitely get this one... a black, Sector Seven robotic sniper, what could be better?

I already have Swindle, but I'm definitely gonna get S7 Hardtop. It's actually fitting that Sector 7 has their own faction too in this toyline.

Oh good, just what the world needs: another release of the Signal Flare mold. The one Energon toy that is still readily available in TRUs, two years after the line ended.

You don't use the features or you activate them manually?

A very good fit, in fact. In some of the movie pics for the LA shoot we've seen, the S7 guys seem to be using black buggies similar to Hardtop.

In the case of HARDTOP I think he looks better without the extended weapon anyway, so leave it folded up.

Most CYERTRON figures can have their features activated with a quick squeeze or prod in the right place - Only rarely do I find one that must have the key in place for them to work.

I wonder if we'll see these guys in the game - the initial interviews suggest that Sector Seven will have their own mecha. Perhaps they'll use these designs for the game. Ironic that the more "traditional" looking Transformers should be made by humans, although it does make sense at the same time.

I like 'em! Plus the premise is an awesome one too. I have both Hardtop and Swindle but the mold rocks so I'm sure I'll get it! I have one of the signal flare mold since I didn't like it all that much, but I'll have to see this repaint on the shelf to make final judgement.
