Oh, I'm sorry, I just wasn't thinking along that train of thought, and I agree, interesting that we're seeing the minicons start to be "factional-ized" in Cybertron and they are continuing in classics in that manner. Probably hoping to spark some "Micromaster Nostalgia" on Hasbro's part
I feel little to no nostalgia for the Micromasters, since none of them that I know of had unique or interesting transformations. Minicons, on the other hand, are interesting TransFormers. Plus, it's always been my secret desire to attach a dinosaur to Optimus Prime's ass
Me, however, I grew up in the "Micromaster Era" and these are among the first Minicons that I think really capture some of that old spirit
As has been pointed out previously, nothing on the packaging says these are part of the Classics line. I don't know what else they'd be part of, but it doesn't seem to be Classics.
Just wait for little Project Micro Love then These aren't too bad, hope Hastak will do something with Micromaster or Minicon bases/transports.
Yes and no While not part of the true "classics" line, Hasbro will be standardizing packaging across the product line until the movie hits, hence why these have "Classics" packaging
In the classics line ? I never have liked minicons, and I never have liked Tfs that beast modes that aren't robotic looking like ravage and laserbeak, Robots, fur and toe nails aint for me, so I will give this a pass.
Basically, they probably pushed thes eback from Cybertron to classics to have something to fill the basic-sized slot on planograms between the end of Cybertron and Begining of Movie merch... makes me wonder what kind of surprise we might see for the Ultra slot (maybe that's the OP/Megs 2 pack)
the Cybertron minicons (from the 2 packs) I have, also have either a Decepticon or Autobot logo painted on
Hmm. I haven't paid much attention to the two-packs. None of the proper three-part minicon teams have had faction signs though, despite officially having a faction. Interesting.
I've always thought it'd be neat if Hasbro molded some minicon pegs onto the old Micromasters and re-released them. I liked those guys.
UPDATE: In package images over at TFans.com More images just got posted on TFans, check them out: No sign of the Dragon or the Jet, but these minicons are looking up to be the coolest there have ever been! EDIT:Wow, Minicon Wideload's vehicle mode is a mini E. Demolisher. EDIT 2:Lol, just saw the other thread, please enjoy and disregard!
A dragon Minicon? A DRAGON MINICON???!?! IS HASBRO ATTEMPTING TO ROB ME BLIND?!+!! Looking closer at that dragon robot mode picture makes me think he's not quite all the way transformed properly. Those two little thingies sticking out towards his back make it appear that the body can fold. . .back. . .down, something and make him more compact and filled out looking. And, once that happens, we'll have TWO Beast Wars Megatron-alikes in the Minicon realm. And that makes me giddy for some reason. And if there's a dragon, you know there's two other mythological creatures out there somewhere. If I see a Mini-Unicorn with a bot mode half as cool as Battle Unicorns looks, I'm gonna go completely kooky. Every time I think, "OK, this'll be the last Transformer I ever need to buy. It can't get cooler." They pull something else out on me. A DRAGON MINICON! Good Primus that's just. . .just. . .wow. And I thought the Dino-Minicons were cool. Oh yeah, and that little plane has variable wings. Awesome.
so...many...mini-cons!! Good lord we get zero updates for a year and than bam, right in the kisser, with all these new toys... They should warn us ahead of time...
