Uh guys, the nose does not come off, its still attached, theres a hinge on the side. And plus it was done to mimic how an F-15A/C's nosecone/randome opens up to reveal the APG-63 radar. Knowing Kawamori I find myself not surprised at all.

Judging by the size I would not be surprised if the fighter mode ends up being 1/48 scale, and hopefully the stand can showcase this in robot AND fighter mode!(knowing kawamori I am betting fighter mode display is a given).

And those doubting his ability to make this awesome and work...you gotta remember this is the man who not only designed macross valkyries but also designed the freaking aquarion...lord knows how many people doubted that could even be pulled off last year!

My jaw has just hit the ground..... This is amazing. I really hope that the teaser pics become a toy reality easily, but I dont see why they wouldnt. When the design pics of THS-02 came out, the toy ended up looking like nothing less than a 3D counter-part to the paper, and I beleive that it's the same person that desinged that Convoy, that designed this. I CANT WAIT FOR THIS!!!! Hasbro, if you do anything right this year, bring this toy to the US, then make it an all translucent plastic exclusive and call it Starscream's Ghost!! Seriously, think of all the characters that could be made from this one mold. There are 4 right off the bat!! Skywarp, Sunstorm, Thundercracker, and Ghosty version of Screamer himself... Ohhhh boy, its gonna be repaint heaven(? on spelling of that word)!! I mean Common, who wouldnt want a squadron of 1/48 scale Transforming F-15's hanging from their ceilings??:rock  GO HASTAKTOM!!!

OK, it looks like the wings fold back/flip around so you can swing the arms out from underneath, then it looks like after you fold the arms out to the side there is a part (up by the intake) that folds down forming the classic seeker chest "intakes" (those things on the side that look like boobs).

Now to figure out the legs and how the cockpit swings into place...

    Still not excited.

Come back and see me when it's actual toy pictures and then, maybe, I'll get excited over this.

    Looks awesome!

I'm surprised no one has bitched about the robot kibble underneath yet. It doesn't bother me any, but I'm sure somebody will eventually complain like a little schoolgirl.

I was just about to post about the kibble underneath! :)  I would prefer a smoother belly--it strikes me as "many cube-shaped kibble bits just to make the robot mode look more DETAILED".

F-15's have totally smooth bellies--the top is perfect, I think they could have done better beneath--especially if you compare to all of Kawamori's valks, which usually have little kibble underneath.

In his defense though, he's basically just implementing a transformation scheme and good robot mode from a design he did not really create, where as his valks were all done by him.

I do see what your saying though and the kibble does dissapoint me in someway, however this blows the socks off every existing starscream till this date, thus I can live with it. Heh Dave if one were to knitpick the accuracy of the plane mode, I knew it'd be you.:D

Since a stand is included I think there will be diecast but not that much.

Well if there were die cast, it'd be the main body as in the G1 mold. Wings wouldn't work - they'd be far too heavy for the joints to properly support it.

I'd be suitably impressed if they built proper actual landing gear (with associated gear bays and doors) - wanted to see something like that on a TF for ages
