-: Legendary Pictures Godzilla... by Who?

Read The ENTIRE Article, It's Very Interesting, Especially Because They Talk About Quentin Tarantino Wanting To Make A Godzilla Movie And His Ideas.

Basiclly: "I have an idea for a Godzilla movie that I've always wanted to do. The whole idea of Godzilla's role in Tokyo, where he's always battling these other monsters, saving humanity time and again- wouldn't Godzilla become God? It would be called "Living Under the Rule of Godzilla". This is what society is like when a big fucking green lizard rules your world."-Quentin Tarantino
    That's Interesting...

Also Rumors Include Godzilla Fighting Another Monster (Possibly Destroyah) And WETA, The Animators Of King Kong, Lord Of The Rings, And District 9, Working On The Film!

Interesting Quentin Tarantino possible director. Cool, but the likes of Carpenter, Scorsese, and even Burton are good, but still these are just rumors. Hopefully once Legendary Pictures are finish taking to Toho Studios we're find out more details on whose directing and so forth.

Nah, bring back Roland Emmerich. And Matthew Broderick. I demand a return of the line "that's a lot of fish."

    Hmm.

In as much as I can't say I think Tarantino is an ideal choice for directing any sort of new Godzilla movie...there's something about his basic pitch that I like; that whole notion of the constant threat posed by Godzilla so heavily dominating the lives of human beings. In its way, it sort of hearkens back to the original 1954 Japanese film.

Tarantino has been wanting to do a new Godzilla movie for ages now, if I remember correctly.

The quote attributed to Tarantino about his idea for a Godzilla film is years old, not a few days old (at time of writing) as that article claims. And I'm just going to say it outright - G2KMaster, the guy with that blog, is a bit on the nutty side, extrapolating connections that barely exist if at all and otherwise quite obsessed over this stuff. Nothing about that post should be taken as even a remote possibility of being a rumor, let alone fact.

I would punch an old lady to see Tarantino's Godzilla film. He's been talking about it since 2000, and you just know that movie would all kinds wonderful and messed up.

Just as long as Emmerich stays far away from a new Godzilla film, I'm game for it!
