Is Bumblebee's alt mode a slight remodel?
They changed the look of Bumblebee a little bit--that's how they're going to get people to buy TF2 toys.....if they put more yellow Camaros in TF2 packaging they would shelfwarm......this way they get to market new toys of the same characters.
unless thats not BB but Cliffjumper! more orangy red......already has a toy...ya never know with bay around.
BB's new alt mode mods are HOT.
I can't spot any changes to Prime's design. Can anyone else?
Exactly. This movie will be a 2 1/2 hour (?) commercial with explosions ( ) to sell new cars and toys. And this way, the 3-D modelers don't need to completely rebuild his robot form from a completely different car like some people were expecting.
And to tell you the truth, the Camaro looked fine in the first film, and I think these changes make it look even better.
Damn, good to see Prime. And loving BB's new look.
Prime looks the same to me, BBs modded front and hood look nice in this clearer picture!
Looks like they've slightly altered BB's front and hood (good marketing choice... gives him a slightly different look without having ILM have to rebuild the character's CG model and keeps the character recognition with the kids), however I don't see the differences on Prime? So, spill, what are the two difference on Optimus?
Yeah i cant really see any difference to Prime in these pics. BB is looking awesome though!
I'm gonna go out on a limb, I personally think they should have keep the original look of Bumblebee from the first movie. The new front end just looks off to me and the tangelo orange they are using for the production Camaro is just bleh... Unless they explain the change in TF2 and it's part of the storyline and believable... i'm not buying it. (Figure wise)
This is how they'll explain it: Bumblebee got pretty banged up and lost his legs at the end of the first movie. Ratchet and/or Wheeljack had to fix him up and gave him these cool upgrades to his alt mode in the process.
When I first heard that filming would be here in Philly, I knew that Kelly Drive would be the place to film. I wish I wasn't a work right now, I'm only like a ten minute drive from that cemetary.
Ah nice new Bumblebee look, subtle yet different enough to sell new toys.
LaureL Hill is a CemetEry. Lauren Hill is a Fugee.
Only problem with that is at the end of the first movie Bumblebee was completely repaired as Sam and Mikaela were making out on his hood...
so something would need to happen in TF2 to explain the change.
I wonder if the new look of Bumblebee is due them using a production model Camaro?
LOL, I thought of Lauren hill of the Fugees also.
The miseducation of Lauren Hill is a classic album!
They don't have to explain it.
If BB had completely changed vehicle mode, then yeah, an explanation is necessary.
But most of the audience isn't going to remember that Bumblebee had different mag wheels or was without the black bumper. People didn't care when Magneto had a slightly different helmet in each X-men movie, or that Spider-Man's costume had slight moderations between each movie. Only hardcore fans realise that.
