cool...but how tall is he? i can read the numbers, but that doesnt mean anything to me....does someone know how tall a few recent line figures are comparitively...

also, is it possible he's a preview figure?

EDIT: is that the voyager ironhide in that picture? if so, then this megatron must be the voyager edition....toyfare had an interview about the toys, saying that some characters will appear in multiple size scales, so parents dont have to shell out mega bucks to have the leaders....so, thats my guess...

Okay, that's decent looking. I'm not sure I like the ice, but the overall idea seems good.
If there was one that was remolded to be a de-iced version, I'd definately pick it up. I really don't have the money or the space for huge TFs right now.

The more I see this guy, the more I think he is probably a Voyager size Preview Figure. Along the same line as the protoform Prime and Screamer. Only this one will probably be at the $15- $20 price point.

Well, 17cm is just shy of 7", putting him around the same height as Classics OP, G1 Soundwave, and most Alternators.

Everything Hasbro has said has indicated that the only preview figures would be Deluxe OP & Starscream. I don't understand why so many folks are thinking Megs will be one. Is it just because he's got a Cybertronian alt mode? (If so, why not assume Leader class Megs is one, too?) The prevailing rumors are that Megs doesn't even get an Earth mode in the movie.

It looks more and more awesome. Taller than Voyager Ironhide. Ha! I already like it better than Blackout.

I'm aiming to get the Leader size, but these pics are pretty cool. Pretty much got every angle I could think of.

That looks pretty good. I still prefer the bigger version though.

I think it's funny how this still doesn't look like... anything. Except now it's a frozen indiscernible mess with plastic ice on it. Even as fugly as Movie Starscream is, at least he turns into something recognizable. But this alien "jet" thing for Megatron... I dunno... I have to wonder how well it's actually going to sell in any size class or slight variation compared to the other characters.

That's not meant as bashing either. Just making an observation. When you have characters that turn into identifiable trucks, cars, jets & helicopters and place them next to this... thing, it kind of loses the sense of semblance & theme.
