Damn! That new 54 Godzilla is NICE and that MechaGodzilla is great too!

I only have wave 1 54 Godzilla, Final Wars Godzilla, and Final Wars Gigan.

I REALLY have to start buying these again.

Just saw the article on Toyark. I haven't collected the 6.5" figures in a while, but that Mechagodzilla will be mine!

I will definitely be buying the new 11" Gigan too. I hope Bandai creation plans to do more in that scale. Kiryu and Godzilla 2004 have some amazing detail! Gigan looks incredible!

My only gripe with Bandai is they advertise their website on the back of the package, yet they don't have a section dedicated to the Godzilla vinyl figures as far as I can tell.

Yeah, bandai is infamous for this. Their English websites aren't updated as their Japanese ones.

I just wanted to pop in and point out that ToysRus is now carrying a new "re-issue" wave of Godzilla figures on new packaging. The packaging itself is now fully black with red Japanese lettering and images of various monsters washed out in red. It looks like an old Japanese monster movie poster.

    The wave includes 3 figures:

    - the new 1954 Godzilla sculpt. When compared to the previous packaging release of this figure at the store, these new packaged ones appeared to have been painted a bit neater. All the paint is the same, it's just these new packaging ones were painted nicer.

    - the FINAL WARS Godzilla. This figure appears to have much more white paint covering his spines than was on the initial release which was on the blue "final wars" packaging. The white paint for his spines now goes from neck to the very tip of the tail.

    - Rainbow Mothra. I'm no fan of Mothra, but man did this figure look fantastic! It had excellent details and may be worth picking up just for how great and vibrant it's colors are on the wings.

Hopefully Bandai continues with these re-releases. I sure would buy a classic Gigan, King Ghidora, Space Godzilla, and more if given another chance. Maybe they should add in a new figure or two just to keep things fresh as well.

I definitely need Rainbow Mothra, my old one from KB was sold a long time ago. I've seen the packaging on these and they're GORGEOUS. But it was a mistake not to include Mechagodzilla in this new assortment when "First Godzilla" is here again.

It's not part of that series, but I'm sure plenty of TRUs have them. Godzilla in particular isn't as popular as Kiryu or Gigan and is usually two to a case.

When I said 1954 Godzilla I meant the new sculpt that recently came out, not the one the debuted with the line.

"First Godzilla" is his name on the packaging. And he came out last series, the same one where Showa Mechagodzilla came out. I'm saying that both of them should have been reissued in this set given they were new figures.

Do YOU know what you're talking about? :lol

I will want to check these out at a TRU, though there is little chance I would actually buy them.

Aw shit, sorry. I completely misread your original post.:lolol  Doh'!

Yes, I too agree that Mechagodzilla should have been re-issued as well since he is a new figure and also because out of the new figures, he is the hardest one to find.
