Well as of late doing ebay searches, I'm noticing a heck of a lot more Fortress Maximuses popping up. And I'm wondering if this elusive grail might soon become commonplace on ebay and places like fleamarkets and yardsales.

I guess with the economy the way it is those who have fort max are starting to sell him to make the money they need.

Just wondering if any one else has noticed this.

Wait til the replica version eventually comes out. That's what I'm waiting for... No way am I buying a yellowing dusty used Fort Max for more than what the replica will cost minty fresh.

Yeah, if that rumored KO Fort Max is true, you better dump him quick. Otherwise, his value will plummet very fast...

I don't ebay so no I haven't but it would make some sense. Commonplace might be to strong of a term as sure he was made in much lower quantities than his smaller comrades in G1. But that that its possible he maybe found more often if people are beginning to serll them to make ends meet.

Another thought comes to mind that rumored Fort Max high quality KO, its possible if unlikely that it really has been made they are funneling them through ebay as legit to maximize profits rather than sell them openly as KOs.

I say yes because of economic situation everybody is in these days.
I agree, I'd love me an original, but I'd be more than happy to actually have an affordable one that only costs a pinky instead of a complete arm/leg.
Only concern with KO's of coarse, is quality. Personally, I'd prefer an Encore/Reissue version, but even those might be more expensive than a KO.

No, but the company that's doing the high quality replica knock offs have been working on one for some time. They were originally going to have it out by year's end, but I think it keeps getting delayed.

Which is fine, because I'd rather it be great than mediocre.

    Why?

Seriously, if they haven't gone after them for replicating the figures they're putting out NOW, why would they go after them for something that they clearly have no intention of ever reissuing? (and in the US, physically CAN'T)

I'm just going to echo what everyone else has said. If it hasn't happened yet I don't think it'll happen for Fortress Maximus. I mean, what'd be the point?

I'd probably snatch a KO up real quick if the quality was indeed a high end KO and the price isn't ludicrous.

I have come to the conclusion its gonna take some KO company stupid enough to KO a current product in its actual package and trying to sell it as legit in large numbers to even come close to drawing legal action.

I hope for a fort max Hq KO then maybe I can afford one.

    There's always that one guy....

I have a real Fort Max but I'd buy a KO. But it would have to be no more then $200. And that's not going to happen. I think a KO would go for $350

Fort max will be expensiv, as long as there is no reissue/KO. He will even after that be expensiv but a lower level of expensiv.

and I am so thankful I have one already....
