I read on Seibertron.com that there will be two more Leader class figures in the DOTM line, which will be released early 2012: Megatron and Shockwave! Not sure how reliable their source is (they leave it anonymous, but they say that it has been "very reliable in the past"). I sure hope this is true!

Their reports like this are questionable, and I'll wait until I hear more solid confirmation from other quarters. While they were correct about Black Shadow and Junkion, they were wrong about Movie Masterpiece Sentinel Prime and Ironhide, so until I see more proof, I'll hold out and wait.

 

*prays for this being true* Megatron NEEDS a Leader toy, hopefully it'll be epic. Shotgun required.

I don't think a Leader Shockwave will ever happen, due to the fact that he doesn't have a real alt. mode and he ended up being even less of a threat than Brawl was. Leader Megatron is possible and something I hope they actually do, but I'd have to call this an unreliable rumor due to the claim of Shockwave being a Leader.

 

While this would be incredible if true, I have my doubts. Seibertron's "rumours" are very hit and miss.

 

Considering the accuracy of Seibertron's "anonymous inside sources", I'm not getting my hopes up.

Megatron is probably likely. Shockwave though...I don't know. Even if it does come out I probably won't buy it because I hate Cybertron alt modes. I'd rather have a non transforming more articulated and accurate toy.

 

also we have never had more then three New mold leader classes in the same toyline, the fourth one has been a repaint twice, and my bet would be Sentinel Gets a repaint,

 

Your count's a little off. RotF got four completely different molds, and a remold.

Unless you're dividing it up by sublines as well, and who's to say that the DotM Leaders won't be, either?

We were told at BotCon that there'd be "more Leaders than usual", whatever that means. If that includes repaints, then that count needs to match or exceed Movie 1, which had 7 separate Leader Class releases: Prime, Megatron, Brawl, Both Premiums, and Nightwatch Optimus Prime.

This is the second or third time, this week... that I've heard that Seibertron is less than reputable. It was also said they're more reputable than tfans/tformers or whatever the hell it's called.

What's the deal with that??

And why is this impossible news? Didn't Hasbro say this line would have more Leaders than usual?

 

Megatons a shoe in, but shockwave? I have my doubts I say we will get a prime retool with dotm abs

HFTD wasn't part of the main line and neither was the line battle blades prime was in, but i forgot that hasbro mentioned the more leaders then usual, i was going off of the TF wikis Toyline pages for the last two movies thats all. wonder what the supposed leader shockwave's alt mode will be, think they will make him turn into the driller somehow?

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Leader Megatron. Shockwave sounds kind of doubtful though, as much as I'd like it to be true.

 

Ah, another smashing news story, like their recent rumors of upcoming wheeljack and mirage figures.
