I love him. Love it appears hasbro made the BH stuff removable. Best of both worlds. For those who want a fully armored shelf, they can still have that. For those of us who just want the basic characters, we can still have that even though the line has moved on. If I had one complaint, it's that he's a bit barrel chested. Would have liked him to have slimmer proportions like his show model. Still, really do enjoy him. Also, doesn't really looked like Hasbro skipped many important paint aps. First time that's happened in a while.

 

I hope hes short packed one a case that would be sweet

 

Hmm, it looks like that "Shadow Quill Armor" is connected to him via ball joint in that one pic of the clip area.

 

So show-accurate door wings means the entire skyline had to go on his arms??

Oh well, gotta grab FOC Starscream this weekend & then keep an eye on the horizon for this one.

 

I believe the armour can be detached.

So if that blue armor comes off, I'm assuming Smokescreen's alt mode will be a normal car, and not altered in any way like Bumblebee's..?

If that's the case, I might pick him up.

 

Slightly too bad he has a blue head and red kneecaps, but with some painting he will be perfect. Really smart of them to make the Beast Hunters stuff detachable.

I don't mind the tiny colour changes they bring consistency to the whole colour balance by adding a little more red to him - it also helps him look a little less like Prowl too.

it does look pretty awesome. i still like the takara version too. it will make a fantastic prowl...

 

I was on the fence, but now I'm definitely going to be getting this figure. The kibble on his arms is slightly annoying, but it's not too bad. I'll probably pose him with the gun sans missile, and just throw it and his spike-vest into my extra parts box. The alt-mode headlights look great. I really like the sculpting underneath the translucent pieces. I love his alt-mode, so I may still get his Legion figure. That way I can display the Deluxe in bot-mode, and the Legion in alt-mode.

I'm curious to see how Hasbro chooses to repaint this mold. Classic Smokescreen colors would certainly be interesting.

Yeah, I wonder if Hasbro will make the same play with Shockwave as for Smokescreen. That is, trump the AM version with a mold to specifically to represent the TF: Prime version of the character.

It's wryly amusing if not ironic that the ability to remove Smokescreen's Beast Hunters gear seems to have shot him into the fan favourite spot for that line.   Not that I can disagree, though it is still early days for this line.

 

Eh still going to pass. Only had any interest in him because of his alt mode anyways. Now to wait for better pics of Bulkhead.
