Yeah but I think what you will find with both the Autobots and Decepticons it will be a kind of mish mash of parallels.

For instance take Red Alert sure she is the medic but the fact she is a she already makes he similar yet different likewise I highly doubt she will be grumpy or old.

Beachcomber is getting the old bit but I highly doubt he will be grumpy also it seems he might have the nature loving and logic aspects of Prowl but sans the ninja.

Im sure it will be similar with the Decepticons Strika is the female but not techno organic and perhaps she will be the groups loyalist like Lugnut, while Spittor has the techno organic beast alt mode but perhaps he is the silly/crazy personality like Blitzwing, leaving Blackout to be the big guy like lugnut but perhaps in a mirror he is the upstart like Starscream.

It gives the suggestion of similarities with the existing groups while ensuring that the characters are unique though ironically considering niether character has ever really done much for me Im the most interested in how they handle Hot Shot and Rodimus Prime I'm not really expecting RPs personality to be much like his G1 self as Animated Optimus has the whole self doubt thing going and I expect hot shot will be the hot head so Im thinking that Rodimus is going to be the badass Prime the one all the elite guard recruits aspire to be like yet at the same time being the one that EG command tends frown upon at the same time the kind of soldier that they support publicly cause its good for moral but behind closed doors he is considered a a bit of a rogue think more comic Grimlock or Big Convoy than any previous incarnation of Rodimus/Hot Rod.
