Man I love this series. The way Finch illustrates the captivating story by Huston is breathtaking. So in this month's issue we had: Somewhat of a summary of Moon Knight's origin. Jean-Paul comes out of the closet to Marc. Jean-Paul gets attacked by a hired thug and beaten to a pulp w/ his own artificial leg. Marc tracks down said thug and slices and dices his face. Finally Marc finds a reason to fight for again. At a meeting of the bad guys, the Taskmaster shows up and kills a man by throwing a pair of pens into each eye. Taskmaster: "Those pens? You can bet those are going on my expense report." :lol  Good stuff!

Stupid, pointless question: is this UDON Taskmaster, or the earlier incarnation? The one that was made into a Marvel Legends figure?

I dunno what you mean by "UDON" but maybe this will help you:

Looks like original flaver Taskmaster to me! :thumb

    :(

I liked UDON's more stylized Taskmaster, shown here:

Classic Taskmaster just looks too hokey to me. I mean, the cape? The generic sort of costume? :-/

Thanks for the scan and clarification, though. :)

I like this too, but I think the classic look actually kinda makes sense when setting him up as a possible recurring foe for Moon Knight--from the back, he looks very similar to MK's costume.

That doesn't even make sense. I distinctly remember him mentioning towards the end of Agent X that he dumped that costume because he thought it looked silly. Not to mention he also said he got rid of the cape because it got in the way. Having him go back to it for no reason just looks stupid.

I'd blame Superboy Prime. And the Scarlet Witch. Maybe even at the same time.

It doesn't have to make sense. For whatever reason, Marvel or Finch or the writer of the series or someone's grandmother, wanted the old costume back. Its just how it is in comics.

That costume would be pretty sweet if it weren't so damned cartoony.

You should check out the Taskmaster miniseries from a couple years back. It's like that movie Payback, but with alot more asskicking. It's where the updated suit came from.

I liked the new Taskmaster. Simone wrote him perfectly. I think this Taskmaster is going to be more like his original persona, very very evil.

I never really found the Taskmaster evil, just a buisness man. I love the villain though, now I'm gonna have to track down Moon Knight back issues.

I don't think Moon Knight ever fought Taskmaster (unless it's during that West Coast Avengers period, which I've never read).

Man, poor Finch. I mean, he doesn't deserve this at all but with alot of his stuff all I see is Rob Liefeldy characters. That last pic of Taskmaster for instance.

Loved the issue. My favorite bit was how every member of The Cmmitee had "unresolved father-eaten-by-werewolf issues". Great nod to MKs first apperance.
