Amazing. I am loving Finch's cinematic style even more. And...*Takes a deep breath.*OMFG! HE CUT OFF BUSHMASTER'S FACE!!!!!!!!
Good issue, wasnt really excited about moon knight from the get go but its half decent. That beat down that left spector crippled was pretty brutal, its apparent this comic is going be a violent one. I am interested to see where this series is going, hopefully a comic this violent will be integrated into the regular marvel universe.
I think the next couple of issues are going to be him retraining and refocusing himself. We did get a glimpse of that at the end. Way I see it, Taskmaster comes calling, and Spector does everything he can to try and get away being chased thru his mansion. The old skills reawakening and such. Finally taskmaster thinks he has him cornered, lashes out and conects with the Konshu statue. Then Spector, in his Moon Knight outfit steps out into the moonlight as says, "Ready for round two?" To which the next issue is a slam bang dust up cover to cover!
You appear to have missed a few pages in issue #1 when he talks about how he does what he needs to because The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, The Avengers, Spiderman, and Daredevil are always busy in thier own little worlds.
Very gruesome stuff...I'm still trying to figure out the story, but the art is top notch and I'm enjoying the ride.
Its one thing to to make that small reference in the comic; its another to actually see it happening though. Sure daredevil and spiderman have shown up in the punisher in years past, but nothing that occurs in the punisher comic has any bearing on the rest of the marvel universe. That was what I was alluding to.
Love the book. They have turned a third tier character into a fantastic read. I'm surprised at how violent this is. It would probably be a MK title if they didn't redefine the line.
OK, ya. Of course, now they are making Punisher: War Journal as part of Civil War, so he will finaly do something important.
Like The Punisher hasn't tried killing Spidey enough times already. You know that's all they're going to do with him.
I'm just curious...has there been any other mainstream Marvel comic that is as brutal as this issue of Moonknight?
