Does anyone think that listening a certain kind of music fuels whatever mood a person happens to be in? Like, for instance, anger. If you happen to be listening to a Rock Band (Disturbed maybe), and your in a bad mood, does it fuel that anger? Or if not anger, then does music fuel the usual status-quo feel good mood? Any opinions?
Ah I'm just kidding. Although for me, if I am pissed off and listen to something aggresive like Disturbed or Pantera I can scream along and basically let the rage out. Then I feel better. Does that fit within your theory?
I definitely feel more angry when I'm in a bad mood and Disturbed is playing, because dammit, don't I have any better CDs in the car, what the hell am I thinking?
I'll listen to slower more mellow tunes when I'm feeling depressed, heavy songs when I'm mad at something or geared up about something, and Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" when I want to feel happy. Cause let's face it, that song is bad to make teh sex to, but it's too awesome to not dance about a little with. Any kind of music that doesn't reflect how I'm feeling emotionally at that point in time just doesn't grab my interest as well as something with a beat or a tune I can relate to.
When I get all depressed, I listen to the blues. (of course) Any other mood; it's usually classic rock.
Hell yes. Music is what I thrive on and as such, of course my moods are influenced by it, as is my choice of music depending on what mood I am in.
Hell yes. When I'm having a crummy day like today, I like to listen to loud New Age or tribal music to get me feeling back in balance. Its better than throwing things. --Moony
Not really, sometimes I feel like listening to metal, sometimes punk, and sometimes classic rock. It really has nothing to do with my mood.
