ya i love theses guys and if you look almost all the detail paint is the same on both figures other than fangs but for some taking a monsterous and painting him up as DS6 would be cake but id rather have both. ive found that monsterous looks alot meaner in low light conditions in that way heartatt and FF kinda blend together in gestalt mode now that my mon is complete i hoope to find a ds6 at a reasonable price. waiting on zig zag for puzzled someone made this a toy AKA puzzler. but between puzz and mon you can see that they learned a few tricks even i might say it learned better tricks then g1 gestalts ?(thats my favs btw) im glad u put these up ty

Huh... never knew there was another deco for Monsterous. It's certainly more cohesive from a color standpoint.

Fossilsaurus? Wow, I just googled it... I need one of these! I didn't know the Rock Lords had a combiner.

F**kin' Go-Bots; every time I think I done with them, they pull me back in! LOL

 

Only released in Japan since the Rock Lords line got axed in the U.S. before they got around to this release. Jawbone, a component of the Fossilsaurus did appear in the craptacular Go-Bots vs. the Rock Lords video!

The giftset routinely shows up on Yahoo! Japan auctions all the time. However w/ the U.S. dollar being so weak compared to the Yen it may not be the best time to try and import him. I paid $100 for mine minty MIB specimen at Botcon 2000...don't think he's "worth" more than $150 IMO though.

 

Thanks for the info, especially the price quote. I just now starting to get into using Yahoo Japan so I'll have to keep my eyes open for one.

 

does anyone think that you could rechrome the chrome parts easy enough?

I've been thinking about picking up some of that alclad chrome paint that you put over a black gloss coat - supposedly it works pretty well.

Anybody try that?
