Well you are close, but tcracker is a master photographer. One of his pics is an automatic 25 likes.
I've been there...even have my own photo studio.... It just so happened that I got it right before the beginning on sophomore year...
That's a designation I'd give to folks like Maz, Sixo, and RiceMaster.
Maz has like 36,000 on here.
No argument from me. They are the elite.
Ha. It wont be long though. Next time he posts a pic lol.
Ugh, mpm-4 is hard to chrome.
I figured that I'd wait to chrome MPM-4 until he gets his fixes, paint apps, and I find a clear coat for the chrome. The leader will serve as my movie masterpiece optimus in alt mode.
Edit: tcracker has been battling health issues lately so you might be okay... for now. Congrats you're one of the most liked.
tmmw morning im excepting one of his pics in the masterpiece apreciation thread and itll have like 50 likes.
im doing that with my rotf except that its the black version, so ill get a ko mpm4 and put that in truck mode. doubt ill chrome it tho.
Just an update. After a day of drying the spoons reflectiveness has increased. Also want to note that even though my two-year old was able to touch the paint after 16 hours of dry time, that isn't completely accurate. I think him being a toddler with his oil-free hands had no effect on the finish. Me, with my oily skin quickly ruined the finish after more than a day of drying.
I went ahead and ordered one off of amazon since my MP-28's Chrome is worn. Should be here by November. I also have a CR Black Convoy who could use a new grille and bumper.
Perhaps rubber gloves should be used to handle the pieces until they've been clear coated? I'd hate ruin pieces I'm trying to fix.
November. Why so long.
Agreed, though touching the finish at all might ruin it. I just don't touch it at all to avoid the hassle.
I am going to pick up a few of these markers tomorrow. I will post in here my findings as l want to try different clearcoats, basecoats, and also see if l can "decant" this stuff and shoot it through my airbrush.
All you have to do is twist the area that holds the nub off to access the paint. The markers are able to be refilled.
Ok, so from the test pieces that I had done back when I first got my pen weeks ago, they certainly became more reflective over the time I left them alone. I've done a couple more tests on other parts to see if this is a consistent thing, or if a one off situation, and to see if the result of the first runs reflectiveness was due to having an already existing black base coat. So far these new parts have come out slightly better than my first ones, but this might be due to it being a straight, flat, area VS. The engine parts from the generations sideswipe figure.
Also, I just left my hobby lobby, and they do in fact carry these in there pen isle.
With tha being said, is there a (bottle, jar, can, etc.) refill available? Hmmmm.
A quick search yields interesting results. My preference would be to airbrush this product if possible. So l will buy both, pens locally and order a refill to shoot through my brush.
$25 for the refill?
I could buy two pens for that price.
Is two pens greater than 30ml? If so that would be more economical
I have no clue. But still.
I dont even know how to open the pen to get to the refill thing.
