I'm in the process of looking for a new modem/router and was wondering what people's recommendations for manufacturers are?

Netgear followed by D-Link is my preference. Not a big fan of Belkin or Linksys personally, althougth i'm sure theres plenty of folks who have had no issue with them.

I'm a D-Link kinda guy. Not a fan of Linksys. Haven't had anything Netgear in years but I remember being pleased with the performance.

Personaly I have huge problems with set ups of netgear and d link die often(I do cleints wireless and wired set ups alot). I prefer linksys for wired and wireless. But if I want a nice and easy setup I really like Apples Airport( but unless you are trying to share a dial up conection the Airport tends to be over priced).

I'm a linksys guy myself. I recently upgraded to a wireless N gigabit router (can't remember the model number). My old linksys lasted me years before I had to replace it.

At the office I've got dlink stuff... only because Telus gave it to me with the internet package.

I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the major manufacturers.

routers i like Linksys...no issues on any computer that i had to use (or install on)...i got the Wireless N Gigabit Router. I also upgraded my ethernet card to a 10/100/1000 Netgear card so i can get the most outta it.
