Yea I've done it for years and years. But it's on hold now since I need the space for TF's... and the fact I can't find any humbrol paints anylonger... I still have a bunch of aircraft in boxes i never got to build yet.

I used to be into model planes when I was a kid(built some helicopters too). But I eventually grew out of it.

Now that I'm an adult, I stick to models of giant robots with laser guns.

I've done a couple in the past. I've still got a couple I still need to do. I've got a nice big Stratofortress that I still need to paint and put together, and a model of the Bockscar, and a couple others that I can't remember, that are sitting around here just waiting to be put together. I've also got at least one battleship that I still need to get working on.

I have done a few, but not many. I did more cars then anything.
What are you Sukhoi are you making?
I would love to build a 1:18 size (or around that size) SU-27 or a SU-34 Strike Flanker.

I always wanted a 737 airplane model kit, and will look for it after buying SRW Al Teisen.

Used to build them all of the time as a kid but ran out of room to display them so I stopped. I LOVED aircraft then and still do. As an adult now, I occasionally build anime character resin kits. I have MANY that I still need to build since I only build them when Im in the mood.

Way back when, oh yeah. Remember the old F-19 "concept" kits? I got to where I could build and paint and decal and topcoat the entire thing in one day. Properly even. I must have built at least ten of those things. And I had a full set of Thunderbirds. And I tried to get the Angel Hornet team, but only ended up completing two of them. And eventually got into camo paint jobs and weirder things, which eventually led to obsessing over Macross models, that I sadly got into right when they stopped being available in the states.

But there was a lot of good times in model building back then. A lot of good times.

I used to build them when I was a kid. My grandparents would buy me a new one every time I came to see them, and my grandfather would help me build it. Man, those were the days.

ok after gluing and puttying and sanding this cheap chinese model i laid down the green basecoat
    [IMG]

then i tore random strips of leftover blue masking tape i had from painting my room
    [IMG]

then i sprayed the blue which is close to the masking tapes color making it look like a negative after removing it
    [IMG]

now i still jave to add the underwing armament, thrusters and paint the engine housings, and the cockpit and im done i believe

I haven't built any, since I was a kid. But, everytime I watch Dogfights on History channel I want to build model of a P-40, or an F-4E.

I used to have a model of a recon variant of an F-4, when I was a kid. I still try to work that thing's camera encosure into some of my own sci-fi aircraft designs.

Looks good!...I like the negative effect...:thumb

I used to build them years ago....when I moved from my previous place of residence, a bunch of them got trashed/broken....so I just gave them all away.
