MMPR Power Gun Sword Problem - PLEASE HELP!!!!

    OK so, I just pulled my MMPR Blade Blaster(you know the one that came with the morpher in '93) out of cold storage i.e. the basement. I took the batteries out like eight years ago, but for the life of me I can't remeber what this thing takes or get batteries to fit right. It looks like 2 AA, however they won't fit! :banghead:  Please help me. :cry

    I believe it was a 9Volt if I remember correctly

    Yep the 9V fit! Only thing is it still isn't working :cry  . I know battery acid has NEVER leaked and the 9V I'm using is brand new. Any suggestions ???

    Crack it open and check the wiring. Something could have been knocked/came loose while it was in storage.

    I was thinking I may have to open 'er up. Ok, I'll let you know how it turns out :drunk  .

    Did you turn the battery the other way yet? If it's backwards, the electronics won't activate. And I didn't see that battery socket having the usual opposing caps that most 9V battery sockets have attached directly to the wiring, so there's nothing to have stopped you putting it in wrong.

    The battery is in correctly. This black "cover" is holding the grip together even after the screws were taken out. I have got to undo/unhook these tabs, which is what I really need help with at this stage.
