Good looking figure and a great job by Byrin on the Kultur remold. Looks just like his IDW counterpart. I'm not over the moon or super psyched for him (perhaps because I have no G1 attachment to the character) but I like it and I'll definitely pick one up.

I for one am grateful for the continued IDW designs that MMC continues to put out.

LazyAza, I did have one question. I know you can't get into specifics, but since Hasbro just put out an Ulra Magnus figure that was generally well received by IDW fans, does that hypothetically move him further down the list of figures that MMC feels they need to get to?

So does Thunders have any kind of release date attached? Or is it a, "When you see it to buy, it's released"?

Asking about MMC release dates is probably one of the most futile exercises out there, but @LazyAza mentioned he doubts it will make 2017.

(Seriously, Turben was put on pre-order last fall for release in November 2016. It's July 2017, and it's still a week or so away from release.)

The more photos I see of him the less thrilled I am. Don't get me wrong, I still plan on getting him, but I wish he was a new mold and not just a re-tool.

And if this mold does get remade into Roller, I hope it is with another extensive re-tool and not just a repaint with a new head.

Also, I really would love it if Maketoys would make an IDW Countdown to sorta go along with Thunderclash.

Eh mmc doesn't really worry about hasbro competition much at all anymore I find. That gen magnus is kinda old now I don't think it would prevent a mmc magnus from happening.

I was just digging through my sons toy box looking for some generations figures worth putting in my reformatted case. None of the combiner/titan wars stuff was worth a second look

It was just stunning how much better the generations stuff from 3 to 4 years ago was

Huh. While I can understand griping over the inaccurate vehicle mode, I can see now why Thunderclash jumped out as a potential remold for Kultur. Due to Milne's use of certain common body types, there's actually a lot of elements seemingly shared by Tarn and Thunderclash's designs. So while the vehicle mode is a departure, that robot mode is spot-on PERFECTION.

What I would give for someone at the show to have fixed his arm guns so they were in the proper setup. But shows over now so hopefully next time he's shown they blue bits are attached to his back lol.

Seem like typical long plank Milne feet to me.

Idk if it's the yellow on red contrast but they seem very clown like to me. :/ excited for those who like it. Glad they are making different characters. Can't wait to see more new stuff.

Milne likes big feet and Byrin was true to that. But the toes on Thunder are also a bit thicker than Kulturs due to having a longer overall piece without the shorter toe spikes. Legs on the sample also aren't full transformed, like on Kultur you're suppose to slide the ankle rails up so the feet are closer to the shins. Which will help a bit.

Did however think about having the backs of his feet be red or blue but ah ended up really liking his big goofy gold shoes a lot lol. If a lot of people don't like them though might see about tweaking the backs a bit maybe if we can.

To be honest, if MMC made an Ultra Magnus I'd probably replace my CW Magnus with it.

Yeah I'd be quite interested to see what they could come up with.
