Seems like the 3P companies are definitely reducing the period between reveals and releases. Seems like a couple years ago that we knew what Maketoys and MMC were making for the next couple years and now we barely know what's being released 6 months from now.

I'd be extremely okay with that. More Ravages are always welcome.

So a Ravage that transforms into a dude? Would this be a variation on Agent Ravage or something?

They'd have to do it just right--but there is a potential purchase from me if they actually pulled it off.

D.C./Reston this year, but yeah makes sense to reduce the lead time, especially with how aggressive KO companies have gotten. And in MMC's case, how freakin' LONG it takes them to get anything out anyway. :D

I wish it didn't turn into a robot. Makes it really akward to call him a "pet" imo

I wouldn't have minded some other alt mode, but this is weird. Still gonna buy it as I'm finishing the DJD, but I probably won't transform this more than once

edit: I was wrong. I've read everything; so I don't know if I just glazed over the character's backstory or if I missed a page/issue where this was explained entirely, but I didn't remember. Knowing who he is, I much prefer he transform.

That was kind of the whole point of the DJD calling him their "pet"...he wasn't a pet, he was an enslaved Dominus Ambus stuck in alt mode. DJD were twisted.

It was my suggestion we go all the way with a proper transforming design for him since the comics teased that and all. We could have made a basic dog bot toy but the boss was quite hesitant to say yes to that so this approach helped greatly with him getting approved as a design at all.

Thanks for the heads up. I was definitely wrong, I really don't know how I missed that while reading. Im gonna have to read it all again to see if there's anything else I missed.
Definitely makes me appreciate this set more. I always appreciate accuracy.

Hmm could this mean a Reformatted Minimus might be planned, one that may or may not wear a certain armor?

Of course I will be cynical when I fully believe that MMC is fully capable of producing smaller figures but doesn't want to because they have to charge less for them (i.e. a scout-sized Dominus Ambus will likely have to be in the $50-60 vicinity whereas a tall deluxe would have been $80+). In other words, I don't think the limitation comes from design but rather from the business side of things. Which is fine, the boss should just be honest about it.

I am glad you managed to convince him and will be buying this as soon as it is available.

I don't know about that. First an MMC deluxe should go for around $65-70, taking the Azalea and Malum Malitia figures into account. Cynicus was explained as an outlier in price at $85. (That price almost assuredly affected Cynicus sales negatively.) Presumably a smaller deluxe/scoutish size will be in the $55 range, or in the ballpark of the Mech Ideas Topspin/Twintwit. (It's been years, so inflation might factor in.)

Setting that aside, making a larger figure also means a larger upfront cost because of increased tooling. There are definitely going to be more people buying this figure at <$60 (or whatever) compared to >$65, and you're turning away potential customers who don't want an overly large and expensive Pet toy. Even if they make more $/unit on a larger toy, it's a larger cost per unit as well, and MMC runs the risk that loss of customers because of the greater expense leads to an overall loss.

Anyway, as for this figure itself, I don't really see a lot of toy there. It seems something more suited to be a pack-in with another figure, either as a two-pack or a companion to a larger figure.

Tesarus is a no-brainer remold to Tankor. Also, given his size compared to the other Vehicon generals, making him larger than Kultur would serve both characters very well.

Sigh... it's beautiful. This is a must buy. The Dominus bot mode kinda creeps me out, but that's kind of the point. He'll definitely stay in turbofox mode.

Love to see a Ravage re-tool of this - although did Ravage ever transform in MTMTE? Once he joined Autobot Meg's on the Lost Light he became an awesome little character, but don't remember him ever transforming in that series? I assumed he's moved on from being Soundwaves minion and was no longer tied to Soundwave for Alt mode.
