He is probably my favorite MMC product, along with MMC Deadlock (cant decide which i love best, they are both so awesome). Probably the best exclusive i have ever purchased at a convention too, it definitely wowed me in person when i opened it and transformed it (more than the Deadlock). I think the heads are the same too? I know the head from Drift to Deadlock were different, but i cant tell for this, they look the same... Anyways, awesome head/face, and i really didnt feel this way for the regular Drift when i saw him. If it is just the colors, well, that just tells you how much colors make a difference.

Quick question, does the large sword store anywhere in bot mode if not in use?

If MMC does a red drift later on, i am just not sure i can do more, with 2 of the same mold already and space issues already. We shall see i guess.

 

This Drift is awesome. The colors suit this mold well. I don’t give a crap about the bay movie character at all but these colors look great on him. The purple poncho made this an instant purchase at TFCon. I was on the fence about the original white version but this is stellar.

 

I ordered MW Prime this morning with fast shipping. Why is he not at my house yet??  

 

The upper back panel has a hinged notch on every version of the aero and stray mold, you flip it out to slot the big sword in

 

I actually hated Bayverse Drift with a passion lol. But yeah this exclusive Blue Drift looks so much better then the regular version. The Blue definitely makes him look more slimmer, and the gold accents just pop. I just can't justify dipping into this mold for a 4th time, and then there is the red version that I am sure will come out at some point, but can't have the red without the blue right? This one is a tough call as I am trying to cut back.

 

Yeah, at 4, it starts becoming alot. In my case, i only had Deadlock. I debated on Alpha, but was waiting on TFCon to see what shows up, and i think simply this one is just too great all. And indeed, there is always a chance of a red one later. Again, not sure which will be better until it releases, and quite frankly, for the blue one, it looks better in person than pictures in my opinion.

I guess one thing you could do is, get this one, then decide on one to sell....at a loss...

Or just pretend it doesnt exist, lol.

But yeah, i have no problem recommending to anyone to get this Drift as their first figure from MMC, and maybe only figure from MMC, lol. It's a matter of taste, and this one is great. Deadlock too... lol

Couldn’t stop myself, that drift was ordered. Love that mold and this color scheme looks great.

Wish I could still pick up Aero Alpha.

Edit: does anyone have the clear swords that PSX included with different orders? Especially the long one? I’d be happy to buy or trade for them.

 

Cape sold me on drift, always wanted MW OP to be made too, so ordered both.

 

I already have the regular Drift (sans cape) but that blue sure looks nice on this.

 

That blue looks nice, but I already have Wing and Deadlock, so nothing for me.

Yeah, I think I'll get these two and Catcall/Uproar, but I'll wait for them to hit a US retailer. Quite a bit gets added on after currency conversion and shipping.

So tempting...

 

Do we know, will anyone else have this for PO? PSX doesn't ship to me, and I'd rather avoid paying A3U's $35 shipping charge if I can help it.

BTW, this is one of those rare times that I am buying a figure on the strength of its paint scheme/paint job alone.

 

I know that TCP (and I think TFSource and BBTS as well, not sure about others) had all of last year's exclusives at the very least, though maybe a month or two later. I don't know if that helps you with shipping, and of course that doesn't confirm anything for these particular figures.

That's what I'm holding out for, since I have rewards points.

 

Not quite feeling their MW Optimus homage, but that Drift is truly lovely. He wears the movie colors so well I didn't even make the connection for a couple looks before I preordered.
