Why do people like the flat tipped cannon so much? It looks like nothing and it's not accurate. Mine is going straight into my parts box forever.

Well because the round cannon requires the part with the safety markings. I don't use him as Miner Megatron so the markings clash with the rest of the toy. While I would prefer the round cannon the safety marking makes it a no go.

I think it was the issue where he goes back in time? Is that what you mean?

Here is some poor quality iPhone pictures! Did my best. Not the best pose/lighting/environment though! Haha

I thought I read that the part with the stripes could be removed.

I removed the miner/safety markings, the grey pieces and the red canopy from it.

    So @C16 is right :) .

@Scyla - Check three pages back, I posted a picture with the edited cannon.

You are correct and did a fine job! The TR Deluxe would be a little too small to pull off this scene very well. Thanks for the help!

I've just opened mine. Overall I like him although he feels a bit light without his cannon. It doesn't have the usual MMC chunkiness to it is the best way I can put it. I also received my Thunder Erebus with this guy and boy does this one pale compared to that one.

Cassy likes to sneak in references to random things with many of his designs. Tyrans canon reminds people of Super Megatron and Animated Megatron and you can clearly see that Derrik Wyatt was referencing Super Megatron with the head design of his Megatron as well so theirs a kind of link between those two and now Tyran and its just kinda neat.

Plus the regular barreled canon looks way more absurd in terms of sheer size relative to tyran.

Got a recommendation as to which ones to get? I'm looking through the page and oh my god they're stickers! They shouldn't be too hard to choose from lol.

This look good, but I wonder if there's one with a translucent or background to blend with the figure better as seen in the comics:

Of the two stock options, I prefer that cannon because of the homage to the Super Megatron, because it kind of looks like a shield, and because the alt mode with it reminds me a bit of a BSG Viper. I know it isn't accurate, but neither option is accurate, strictly speaking, and nothing about the alt mode is accurate to MTMTE. I'd prefer a smaller upgrade or scratch build option, but until I have one, I'll go with the flatter cannon.

...i’m thinking about picking up a set of reprolabels’ 3D insignias and snipping a small piece of sheet metal backing for magnetic attachment...

I just ordered mine today. I haven't ordered anything 3P related since Kultur. One question though does he come with the Glitch face for Kultur?

Yes all copies come with a Glitch head and new magnetic mask for said glitch head. Unlike tyrans head though you will need to unscrew it if you wish to swap it out with kulturs regular head.

Got mine today. Issit just my copy or the hip/waist rotation is a bit too tight? Pity no ab crunch. I do agree dat the arm cannon is waaaay too big till it hinders tyrantron articulations & poses.

A few clear paint touches or a tiny piece of paper around the neck area and...

Yup, that's what I mean...darn it! I'm so conflicted! Its an amazing aesthetic to me because it captures part of the G1 design but I'm not used to the idea of Megatron being an Autobot.

Ok, I'll check it out as one of my buddies just picked it up.

Cool! Thanks for the 'history'! The thing is I grew up with the Marvel US and UK comics, followed DW all the way until its closure and IDW, I think I stopped when Optimus fought Megatron...prior to "All Hail Megatron" - which I intend to pick up one of these days! :)

My attempt at a cover recreation. Can't stop fidgeting with this figure, the ratchets are scary though!

I'm gonna be putting a decepticon sticker on mine, not that I don't love MTMTE and autobot Megatron, but this is the new definitive Megatron for my collection, and therefore he has to be a decepticon.
