Hey guys, I helped with the arm design on this figure, I went through about 12 different rounds of tweaking and this is definitely the perfect representation. When I showed my work to the boss he said "YEP, THAT'S PERFECT" lol

After seeing the full design for TLK Megatron is it me or does MMC Reformatted Megatron now looks a little like a G1 version of TLK Megatron design? I mean I know it's clearly homaging the MTMTE Megatron design for sure no doubt about it but the way the jet mode and even some of the robot mode seems to unintentionally evoke TLK Megatron without being obviously about it.

I don't really see that, but as people have mentioned before, there are definitely elements of Super Megatron in the Tyrantron design.

Shit, I was fooled, you really needed blue text dude lmao; it's all good.

Don't get me wrong I do like most aspects about the figure, and I probably will end up buying it regardless. What I meant to say, was that I'm not fully satisfied with the way it looks, because we've seen MMC do better. There's just something off about this guy to me, idk what. Given how SXS Rodimus looks in comparison to calidus, I'd love to see them tackle MTMTE Megatron.

We STILL need someone to do a Super Megatron and an Ultra Megatron faithful to those designs. Now I am sad. SAD. SAAAAD.

Larger than voyager. Smaller than Generations/CW Ultra Magnus. About the same size as MMC's Tarn.

It's tempting, but I've got limited space, and have sworn off anything that will not scale, at least close, to masterpiece figures.

I don't mix/match either. I personally love size/scale, and I'll not pick something up that doesn't fit into my intented collection(s).

That said - I have Masterpiece detolf(s), IDW/voyager detolf(s) and a also one for my legends scale figures.

I have a very large MP collection (and expensive! My poor wallet ..) but I honestly prefer my voyager ("chugs" - no deluxes though!) and legend sized figures to my MP ones. MP collection is nice to look at, for me; not so much touch/pick up/mess around with.

In any case! Keep an open mind out. Lots of cool stuff out there :)

That's a bit uncalled for. Also the forearms are indeed too long, even when compared to the idw artwork. They should stop at around his mid thigh, on Tyran they stop around his knee, it's also been bugging me ever since he was first shown off and I'm still sad this design went and happened so quietly and secretly when it could have been iterated on and altered to be so much nicer if perhaps mmc had given fans a chance to give input at an earlier stage.

Furthermore just because something is a certain way with the IDW art doesn't automatically mean it looks good or works as well for a physical toy.

Yup supa megs was one of cassy's inspirations.

No offense to the man, but I find I like everything he's done only after it has been reworked by someone else.

Expected release date is July 1st, 2017.

No surprise for me. May was so close.

If they are saying July Then I will expect it around Christmas. MMC release dates are the dumbest things ever.

Exactly. It's like a continuous April's Fool Joke, gets old after a couple of times though.

MMC have one of the wierdest release schedule. They are able to show us finished prototype, but release is always far away.

Tyrantron has been shown around October.

Add one year and two or three months and you got approximate release date.

And I really believed they will make it this time.

Wonder when their version of Helex will come out, but I still count with next year.

The problem is really that they only have ONE reliable factory when it comes to QC. And that's the one that produces the Reformatted line. When it comes to Ocular Max it's basically a coin toss.
